  1. Does anyone have any input on which river cruises have tables for two?  We enjoy spending time with our fellow passengers during lunch and shorex, but we prefer to be at a table for two for dinner.

We're open to all river cruise lines.  So far, my understanding is that Viking river cruises have practically no tables for two.  If I'm mistaken, please let me know.

If this has been discussed elsewhere, please point me in the right direction.

    Thank you.

  2. On every cruise we’ve taken (Oceania, Azamara, Viking), we have gone to dinner whenever we wanted.  Now we’re trying Celebrity (Equinox) for the first time and we’re scheduled to eat every day at 6:00 PM.

We’re trying to change that to Celebrity Select Dining Anytime, but if we can’t, can you please let us know if we would be seated with other people or can we have a table for two every time at 6:00 PM?  Does this 6:00 PM time slot apply only to the Main Dining Room or does it also apply to the specialty restaurants?  I assume we need to make reservations for the specialty restaurants, right?  If so, can we choose the time and table size when we make the reservation?

Appreciate any help you can provide.  We're staying in the Retreat, so if worse comes to worse, we'll eat every night at Luminae.

  3. We're considering a Celebrity cruise, but will not go if they don't guarantee us a table for two.  Do you know if they will guarantee that?

If they won't guarantee a two-topper and you have Select Dining, are the reservations you're talking about only for the time?  Or would we be able to, in addition to the time, also reserve the size of the table?

  4. Thank you!  All the info you've given me is helpful.  I'm really asking about the future.  We were on the Aug 3-10 cruise and didn't bid, but we'd love to go back to Iceland someday soon.  We stayed there for an additional 4 days after the cruise and absolutely loved it.  It was not enough though!  And we know how lucky we were during our cruise - great weather, able to do excursions every single day, no one got sick or tested positive so no quarantine, etc.  I sincerely hope everyone going on future Iceland cruises have an equally great time.  Thanks again.
