Hi we cancelled our cruise but I just looked to see if United is still flying nonstop from EWR to JNB and they are.  Flights are pretty empty going but very full coming back.  I think there are only 2 airlines that fly from the US to South Africa, Delta and United.  I don’t know how long flights will be able to fly into South Africa.  Everything changes daily since the pandemic.  

We are going on Silversea Spirit 9/03 leaving on 9/02 for LHR.  Their systems have been down for days now.  They are supposed to meet us in Heathrow to take us to the ship.  Hopefully they still plan on it.  They are not very informative about what is going on other than it will soon be fixed but so far it hasn’t been.

We are flying from the US to LHR on Sept 2 to board a Silversea Spirit Cruise on Sep3.  The U.K. wants to know within 48  hours before departure from the US where we will get this covid PCR test that is required on the 2nd day in England and who will administer it.  We need to tell the airline before we are allowed to board.  Silversea has not told us anything.  I have reached out to them and gotten no information. If we are denied flying because of this and cannot get there do we lose our $20,000 which we paid for this cruise that was all set up by Silversea?

I was told by Celebrity to bring the vaccination card and, to be save, the doctors or health departments report of your vaccinations. I went to the Martin County Health Department in Florida and it listed all my vaccinations from 2013 when I moved to Florida including the 2 Moderna shots.  Now we need to get Governor DeSantis to let the cruise lines require vaccination proof of the passengers and crew.  Delta Airlines just said they will not hire any new employee without of Covid Vaccination.  DeSantis are you going to tell Delta they can’t fly from Florida?

I am going on Celebrity out of FLL on July 18.  They told me to bring my vaccination card and my doctors records that I had the shot.  I got the Moderna shot at the Martin County Florida Health Department and they had a record of it printed for me as well as all the vaccinations I have had since 2013 when I moved to Florida.  Celebrity requires 95% passengers and all crew to be vaccinated even though Governor DeSantis is against vaccination passports.  Governor has no legal right deny companies this.

I am starting to hope my cruise on Celebrity cancels and I get my money back.  I have a pool at home and I don’t eat grab and go.  

Yes 15 thousand dollars now I am waiting to see if my AE travel insurance will reimburse me. You pay up front on ships and they do not use our insurance medical codes. Pattie

I sent an email to Azamara Club Voyage and said I was not happy with their taking away my loyalty perks. I got a call from someone named Barney. He said something to the effect he did not know why I should feel that way and to call him back. I will call him tomorrow. Has anyone else gotten a response from Azamara. I mean Barney sounded like I should like the loyalty programs new changes. He left his name and extension number. Guess he does not read the complaints on this thread. Does anyone at Azamara? I use to tell all my friends to cruise on Azamara but not anymore.

And respond to your passengers when they send you emails, tweets and maybe, you should be reading this forum, ya think?

Actually, if you valued your highest ranking guests, you would not be devalueing their perks. Are you reading these comments? Is the CEO reading these comments? You have lost our business. When we thought of cruising we thought of going with Azamara first. You killed the Golden Goose. I wil no longer book Azamara. All the class it once had has been destroyed.

I sent emails to guest relations and club Voyage about the latest announcement by Azamara taking away loyalty perks and disguising it as something I will LIKE? I copied it to Larry Pimental, the president, but do not know if his email address is correct. Does anyone know it. I can no longer recommend this penny pinching cruise line. Are they taking advise from the airlines on how to treat their best customers. They have lost my loyalty. You will find me on Silver Seas. Pattie

Sorry Joel, but this one has gone down like a lead balloon. Time for a serious rethink before you alienate your loyal fanbase on this board. Please kindly make sure that the management teams are aware of the comments here.

And it was admittedly only a cheap bottle of bubbles, not even proper champagne, but it was nice to have the 'welcome home' touch in your cabin.....cost cutting and penny pinching...and I'll say it again.....this whole exercise looks 'cheap'.

I cannot believe how they treat loyal passengers by stripping their perks in the latest letter sent September 16. I have written Le Voyage Club and Larry Pimental. I mean some of the little things like the Champagne Brunch that they used to give us is now changed to a "get together". Give me a break. They insult their best customers with these changes. I have no loyalty to this cruise line anymore. Shame on them.

Anyone taking the Viking Grand European Cruise departing June 29th to Budapest and ending in Amsterdam?

We will be on the Viking Sky end of July. We will be doing the pre cruise in Prague for 3 days before. Hope it rains alot before we get there. Anyone else with us???

We will take the 3 day pre cruise to Prague leaving 27 July 2014. This is our first on Viking . I was surprised that they are quoting gratuities at 24 EUROS a day and not dollars. They are breaking the bank for me. Anyone else going on our cruise. We a flying out of EWR on July 27.

We have not made are arrangements yet but I think we will be at the Conrad Hilton on the 15th and the 16th. We are airline people and will probably go on stand by to Singapore on the 14th.

We are on the Silver Shadow Singapore to Singapore and all ports will be in Indonesia. Any recommendations on tours in Bali, Jakarta, Probolinggo, Semarang, Limbar,Lombok????
