  1. We were scheduled to go on a coastal South American cruise this month but had to cancel at the last minute. One of the pre-cruise excursions we planned was to Iguazu Falls, booked through an agency. Cost: $860 per person, including pickup from hotel, flight to Iguazu, 2 nights at the Sheraton including New Year's Eve dinner, guided tour, flight back to BS with transfer to hotel. I thought that was better than what we could do independently. If you would like more info, I'd be glad to give it to you.

I noticed you have been cruising with Norwegian. Is your South America cruise on the Norwegian Sun? That's what we booked for next year and would appreciate feedback if that is what you have chosen.

    Travel safely and enjoy!

Not sure if you answered this for others but which tour group did you find this thru? Thanks in advance [emoji4]

  2. I may be having issues with my gallbladder but I am not able to get an ultrasound until this Friday.... In the event I need to have it removed and if my dr clears me for the cruise will I be okay to cruise mid April.... Not sure if there is a policy by Royal Caribbean or anything. Like that....

I would hate to miss this cruise, my family has been looking forward to this for the past 18 months!

Had mine removed on May 1st, flew down to FL on May 15 and cruising on May 16th. All cleared thru my doctor. Of course, I had to watch my intake and not do anything crazy but I was good to go. Had a great time!

  3. You're kidding, right? I've never sailed out of New Jersey/baltimore but what does "not very much worse" mean? Does it mean only half as much furniture tossed about in piles on the decks? Does it mean passengers locked in their cabins for only 2 hours? Clearly, this situation was A LOT worse or they wouldn't have turned back to home port.

She was referring to LAST night not Sunday night.

  4. The next day while on the ship, I received this email from Lawrence which is why I feel disappointed. Clearly, you're taking some kind of pain medication, maybe his doctor failed to warn him, who knows but I kind of feel common sense failed here. Am I wrong?

Not wrong at all. I work as a region safety manager for a transportation company and although this refers to the US and DOT regulations, drivers are required to report want they are taking. But also trained that even over the counter medications can effect their driving.

Common sense: Don't drive when taking any meds.

I've been on pain meds for my back....knocked me out. That said, all meds are different.

  5. We were on the 1/16/16 sailing. Didn't notice that much wear that it bothered. Yes she could use an uplift but nothing horrible. Food the first night was blah but improved over the week. I've had better, I've had worse. The bed wasn't that too bad for me. I actually slept better than I had in a long time. But all these things are subjective...each to his own.

As for the ice show....one of the best I've seen. But again that's open to each individual's opinion.

  6. After reading this, I checked out pacsafe. I'm thinking of purchasing one but not sure of the size to get since I don't know how many liters it is. My camera bag is the size of a carry on suitcase. Help please. I was thinking the 55L.
