I surprised my husband with an Alaskan cruise for his retirement. We sailed on the Spirit out of Seattle, roundtrip during the month of July. We had an Aft balcony & it was wonderful. The weather was beautiful with temps in the 70's. We did a helicopter tour & landed on a glacier & also did a whale watching tour. The walk on the glacier was an experience I will never forget. I never had a real desire to cruise to Alaska & basically booked it because my husband never said no to any of my cruise requests so I did this for him. Don't hesitate, you will both love it.

Please note the credit will not be available to you until after your cruise is over. Then, you can use it towards another cruise within 24 months. I just went thru the same situation & since I am back from that cruise I can now use it towards my already booked cruise for Jan, 2016.

Feel the same way. Absolutely love the Breeze. Just booked her for the 3rd time and will book the Vista for 1/17

Hi Karen, We were on the Sunshine Jan 17-24th & like any other ship if you dont get out early it's difficult finding lounges. Are you contemplating booking? We had a good time, but IMO no comparison to the Breeze. Just a few little things, but nothing by any means that ruined our cruise. I think we were spoiled by the Breeze. Actually, just booked the Breeze again for Jan 2016. Cant wait for the Vista! Hope you & your family are well!

If you have another ship in mind I would reconsider.

Being Platinum cruisers and residing in New York, my hubby & I received an invite. I was so excited until I read it was on January 24th, the day we are returning from our cruise on the Sunshine. Wish we could have attended. It sounds great!! Well, maybe next time

Thanks for posting! Brings back memories of our 1986 Mardi Gras cruise. Yes, I remember wearing suits & gowns to dinner. Whole different ballgame today. I kinda miss the elegance of cruising years ago.

We were on the Breeze 2X as well & are booked on the Sunshine for Jan 2015. We decided that we would try the Sunshine & not the Breeze for a 3rd time in a row. The Breeze is the only ship we have duplicated. A cruise is what you make it! I stopped listening to other people's reviews a long time ago. I am sure whichever you choose, you all will enjoy.

I have been on both ships & would def pick the Breeze. Have been on the Breeze 2X and to date she is my favorite. So much to do. As long as the itineraries are good for you IMO the Breeze hands down. Either choice you will have a great cruise.

There is no additional charge for the burgers & there is a board by Guys Burgers listing the types of burgers they serve. Enjoy!

My daughter has always added Grandma & Grandpa (me & my husband) to the Camp file so that we were also able to sign our grandchildren in and/or out. I dont know if there is a limit as to how many can.

We currently have 3 cabins booked for Jan 2015 under Early Saver. Unfortunately, we now have to cancel 1 cabin completely & delete 1 person from one of the 2 remaining ones. If I am correct they will charge $50.00 penalty pp & issue a credit for the remainder good for 24 months. What I am wondering does anyone know if they would apply credit to one of the other cabins instead of issuing a credit. I hope I am not confusing you :)

We have cruised 12 different Carnival ships plus the Breeze 2X & the Sunshine coming up in Jan, 2015.
