  1. Hi! First time NCL cruiser on Getaway on Feb 28th & wondering how I can use OBC gift certificates that I would like to purchase pre-boarding. I'm pretty sure I can use them for dining, shopping, etc. on the ship... How do I redeem these certificates ? I've read that I can do that upon arrival at Guest Services. Do they credit my account ? Can I use them at the casino ? Can I get cash money for them ? All of these questions 'cuz the exchange rate (Cdn $ to US $) to purchase OBC gift certificates is a lot better than what I can get at my bank. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

  2. No, I believe the exchange rate in September was 30% and went up to 35% on October 8th. As the previous poster said, check if your fare ends in .70 and if so that means a 30% exchange rate.

Hi. New to CC. We are booked on NCL at the end of February & on my NCL account, I am able to purchase a $10 US On-Board Certificate for $11.59 CAD. What are these ¨certificates¨ for ? Besides using them for dining, shopping, excursions...etc. can I cash them at any point during my cruise? Can I get cash money for them at the casino/guest services & use the $$$ to buy gifts, eat at restos, buy drinks at ports of call ?

Do they credit these ¨certificates¨ to your account upon boarding ?

Any information from a fellow Canuck/cruiser would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  3. Hello everyone. First time post, enjoyed reading all tips on CC. We are booked on the Getaway on Feb 28. We are 3 couples celebrating our 50th b-days (the boys are) & glad to hear that this ship has plenty of entertainment! I was just wondering about Vibe & our chances of getting passes. Would I be able to purchase passes for my friends as well? Do we all need to go to Guest Services for the passes? My plane lands in FLL at 10:45, so I don't expect to be at port before noon. This is our 2nd cruise. Our past vacations (with our kuds) were more of the all-inclusive type, so any additional info about this ship/restos/excursions would be appreciated.

    Ciao!
