  1. Hi All,

We're on Celebrity Constellation 20th-30th August. Our flight home isn't until late afternoon so are looking to spend a few hours sight seeing before we head to the airport. Does anyone know if there is a left luggage facility at the cruise terminal?

    Thanks

  2. We did a med cruise last summer with two boys similar ages...they loved all the time in the pool, excursions were hot at times (Rome was!!) but there is usually shade and time to stop for ice cream so they were happy! Take water bottles, rash vests and lots of sun cream/hats, you will be fine!! On board there is also kids club and lots of air conditioned inside space when you need a break...and evenings up on deck were still warm which was lovely!! I would heartily recommend it!!

  3. My parents have been countless times, old and new regime, and are VERY happy with the ship, the service, the staff, the tours and the healthcare support has been excellent which is really reassuring for me as the anxious daughter left at home!! Dad says every time he goes on board (even after an absence of a year or so) he is greeted by name by the barman who remembers how he likes his gin and tonic as he hands Ma the cocktail menu....

  4. Too many children in too small a space, running around and jumping in and out, generally being obnoxious...lots of loose tiles around the sides as well which were fun for my son to dive for but sharp when trodden on...at one point the captain had to remind parents to supervise/control their parents...there was a staff member with a whistle on some occasions but ignored by many...goes back to sheer numbers again. The pools at the back of the boat, in contrast, were lovely!!

  5. The ship was FULL, kids club was so busy it scared my 8yr old and he refused to go again, we queues for dinner for over 30 minutes on several occasions, not allowed to book a table in advance, pushed to share tables even as a group of 6, went to Crown grill a couple of times just to get fed...there were extra staff (we were told c.200 so staff accommodation was also v crowded) but they didn't all know what to do...so service was really patchy - great at times, terrible at others... Some staff had no idea what to do at dinner so it took over 3 hours upon occasion, they couldn't understand ordering wine from the drinks package, and most concerning were the real health and safety issues in the big pools.

The cruise was amazing, don't get me wrong, we loved the holiday overall, ports were amazing, cabin and steward were fab, the boat is gorgeous...but it was sooo busy and overcrowded it was actually concerning at times...won't stop me cruising but would think carefully about Princess...

  6. I can remember every passenger being assigned a number and there was a board with little discs hanging on hooks. Each had a number and if you went ashore you turned yours over, putting it back when you returned onto the boat. That was their only way of knowing if all passengers were back on board....definitely keys with HUGE fobs and free cigarettes along with free drinks at the captains cocktail party...
