Nope! We got on early because we wanted some empty boat time, but I’m fairly certain that they didn’t require you on ship until 6 or 7pm!:)

We are going on a cruise it March out of San Juan. The ship leaves leaves at 8pm, which we've never done. I'm wondering what time did they let you onboard? We're normally on by 11 am and the ship leaves at 5pm.
Also does anyone have any recommendations for tours in Dominica, Grenada or St. Croix? We normally book ahead of time but with the locals.
Thanks!

Hi! We're booked on the Celebrity Summit out of San Juan. Our itinerary is St. Croix, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada and St. Maarten. Does anyone know if St. Maartin, Dominica, & Grenada have recovered well enough for tourists to visit? We've been to St. Maarten several times, we usually go to Orient Beach. Barbados we've been to once, the rest are new to us. Any suggestions/advice?

We are scheduled to sail on Jewel of the Seas very soon. After a bit of frustration about it being printed multiple places in the RC documentation to buy a wine package (by the bottle) beforehand yet not being able to find the stupid things anywhere in the Cruise Planner, I finally came here and found that the wine packages had been retired ... sort of.
So it sounds like there's no official wine packages anymore, but some ships have created their own.
Has anyone sailed on Jewel recently and seen their wine package offerings?
I'm even considering purchasing a 2 bottles of wine we know we like in San Juan and carrying onboard (we've never taken advantage of that allowance before). This whole up-in-the-air nature of the wine packages at the moment is rather annoying since it's the only alcohol package we've ever used on RC.
Thanks.
I phoned RC, we are also scheduled to sail Jewel of the Seas, was told wine package will still be available upon embarkation.

Thanks for you post...I was wondering if they record your stateroom..I can't remember what ship did that..or cruise line..I've sailed them all. So.. just saying..If my husband and I aren't standing together or near each other ..we could both have two bottles in our carry ons.. and that would be that..Really would beat paying $ 35 plus gratuity for a four dollar bottle of wine in the dining room. ( So silly, Berringer , I don't drink it but it amazes me!!!) You know, I have absolutely no problem paying for a wine package and always used to buy the five or seven bottle package, but they eliminated it, and I just don't drink enough to justify buying a beverage package. At least on celebrity, I could use some of my beverage package on coffees, but there is now way I could drink that much.. thanks for the wine info..it will definitely help.
I phoned RC, we are cruising Jewel of the Seas, and was told that on embarkation you can still buy a wine package. We will also bring on our two bottles of wine.

We have always put our wine in our carry on bags. So when you board the ship it's you handling your bag and all you have to do is show it to them upon biatding.

We're leaving on the Summit March 30. The ship leaves San Juan at 8pm. What time can we actually get on board. In the past we've boarded at 11 am for a 5pm sail time.
