  1. So (hehe) Mr. IT keeps reminding me I need to come close out this live. I just got super busy with my drama filled life. Anyways as we have both said we really enjoyed this trip. We are considering other opportunities over the next few months to take another weekend trip.

We really appreciated you all following our adventure. Mr. IT has always had a love for photography. I know that him getting to share his shots with you enhanced his vacation experience. Thank you for showing him so much love!

    Trip Highlights:

    Cocoa Beach

    The Beach Club

    Weather

Lack of ducks (didn’t see a single one)

    Rocket launch

    Airline ticket refund

Rental Car (this made a huge difference and would do again)

    The drink package

    Downers:

    Cancelled flight

Middle Economy Seats (worst flight I’ve ever been on)

Dupable’s inability to post dog pics

    Until next time. 🫡

Loved this review and pics! We sailed Odyssey shortly after your last review, and really appreciated your perspective on the “short trip, small ship.” We are now considering a short Allure sailing, similar to this one. Did you enjoy the overall experience? Was it worth it? We’re from the Midwest and have never flown for a 3 night cruise. Not sure I can convince the fam.
We’re also considering a Mediterranean, so can’t wait for that Live as well!

I actually liked the short 3 day cruise. We aren’t the types to try and shove in a lot of activities. We did the beach and casino basically. The three day cruise felt just right. The cruise itself for us was free. We still paid all the other expenses though. I’m happy to report that United has said they will be giving us a full ticket refund for our flight out. That mitigated some of the expense. The shorter cruise definitely increases your per day cost. Just something to consider. For us the vacation days we have available from work are more valuable than money spent.

  3. Our flight home was great. I watched two movies and consistently drank vodka and soda. It went off without a hitch. Our surprise middle seats in economy on the way out did not go well. Obviously out of our control but miserable. We both had the worst possible scenarios. The flight home in first class was almost majestic.

Mr. IT says he will never buy a ticket in economy again. He says you might as well pack him up in a suit case.

  4. Thanks for the pics Dupable! Of course I saw the actual dog before your pics. I can confirm to all our followers that PupPup is alive and well. Dupable next time I would like a consistent communication of proof of life. If you are going to choose to stay home with the dogs do better! This is like me sending you a pic of your plants while you are looking at the plants. You just seem to be lacking commitment these days.

  5. If you all haven’t noticed Dupable really likes to give advice. Anytime she can share her opinion she gets excited. This unfortunately has been extended to grocery store employees. She loves going to the grocery store. I think she stops in 5 times a week. She almost always manages to find a reason she requires extra assistance.

she was going on and on the other day how she suspected the gentleman that helped her that day was a manager. He came all the way down a ladder and walked her to what she was looking for. The regular store employees aren’t usually that helpful she says.

    Dupable here

Do you all remember what my job was while denversail and Mr IT cruised into the sunset?   Take care of the dogs, meaning go over and let them out for a few minutes.   She has made it sound like something I am doing for her while she goes on this trip.  In actuality, it is my permanent year round job.  They both work long hours and Wolf works also so the dog's  midday break falls to me.   Wolf was off Friday and Saturday so I did get a nice break those days.   Today Wolf worked so like usual, I headed over about 10:30 to let them out.  Denversail and Mr IT will be relieved to hear that it appears Wolf is doing a very good job.   House was all picked up, no sign of dog messes, and their water bowls were full.  However it does appear that he does not let them out for as long as they would like as they were out forever and didn't want to come in.  Princess was dancing around the yard and PupPup was busy filling up on rabbit poop.   Finally they were settled inside and I left and stopped at the store on the way home.  As I was about to leave the store Wolf texts and asks if I fed the dogs?   What??   That is not in my job description and this is news to me.  He insists we had discussed it days ago ......   So back to the house I go with written instructions from Wolf on feeding.  Both dogs seemed very confused when I walked back in the door.   PupPup realized he was starving as soon as he saw he was getting dinner and gulped his food in seconds.  (if he was my dog I would get him one of those slow feeder bowls but no one ever takes my advice.)  As for Princess - there is a reason they have nicknamed her Princess.  Watching her eat is like Chinese water torture.  I followed Wolf's instructions of soaking her food in hot water but she only has two teeth in her whole mouth.  She eats one piece of kibble at a time and chews (gums) each bite for some time.  (I would have her on soft food, but once again....).   Finally she finishes but now I don't feel like I can just leave them so outside we go again.  When all is said and done, what usually takes about 15 minutes takes over an hour.  And I get to do it again tomorrow but happily no feeding involved.   There is a silver lining.  Denversail is doing a favor for us.  We head out of town Thursday morning for 6 days.   She has promised to water my plants for me.  Of course we are arguing about that.  She wants to come every other day and I want every day.   These are baby seedlings, some haven't even germinated and there are grow lights and heat mats involved.  Will my plants survive?   Will she come every day (like I do for her dogs?).  Time will tell.

What are you talking about? Just say you fed the dogs. It took me 10 minutes to read that babbling mess. Did you speak with any employees at the store?

That was a lot of complaining packed into one post.

  7. Mr. IT and I decided to spend 45 minutes in the casino before dinner. We sat down with two old men. It was pleasant enough at first but then… the crankier of the two tried to tell the other one how to play his cards. All hell broke loose… the FU’s were flying. Mr. IT and I of course started chanting… FIGHT.. FIGHT. They just continued with the back and forth insults. One of them stormed off and the other was using a wheel chair and had no chance of making chase. It ended there. Oh well maybe next time. 🤣🤣

Not sure if it is the passage of time or the alcohol but her memory is very wrong on this one.  She definitely told us the pier number? or some sort of address.   And let’s not forget the time when due to her poor planning we actually had to WALK 3 miles to the ship dragging our luggage.  That was an experience we will never forget.

I had nothing to do with the pier number or address. The other situation was 1 mile NOT 3.

OMG denversail did that to us also.   She was doing a back to back and Wolf and I flew out to spend the second week.   She told us the address which we gave to our Uber driver.  He circled around the terminal , stopped and announced we had to get out !  Turned out we were about a half mile from the ship.  Luckily we were able to flag down a taxi who knew where to go.  Denversail is NOT to be trusted with directions.

I was not with her when this happened. I did not give her an address. I was on a ship making her dinner reservations for the week and wasn’t available to assist her in finding her way. This somehow made it all my fault. 🤷‍♀️

  10. We ended up spending about two hours at Margaritaville. We normally love these hotels. We have made a few visits to the one in Hollywood, Fl. This one was just oversold. We got there at 10 am and the tiny beach area was packed. We were able to get a few seats by the lazy river. Our server was a trip. We asked him about wi-FI and he took our phones to log us in. Mr. IT being well Mr. IT was very unhappy about this. Even I wondered for a moment while he had Mr. It’s phone for a beat. We ordered 4 drinks and a terrible appetizer. We had originally planned to have lunch there but after the app decided against it. Well when I asked our trippy server about the check he informed me no charge just leave him a tip. Like I said he was a trip. Super friendly but with that sketchy layer. We gave him $40 and headed back to the ship.

  11. It is 6:30 am and I’m still drunk. It is Mr. IT’s fault. I was happily reading in bed last night at 8 pm. I was very close to crashing when Mr. IT reminded me that he is on vacation and I better start acting like it. This led to several hours in the casino accompanied by a LOT of liquor.

I just watched the sunrise and it was amazing. I’d post a pic but Mr. IT said I’m not allowed to post anymore pictures. Something about my amateur skills. 🙄
