The minibuses are super easy to take. We needed to be back by 4 and took a minibus about 2 easy peasy

We were on Horseshoe on Friday and saw 4 washed up on the beach. I was stung by one when I was young and had an allergic reaction so after seeing them I was done with the water. We saw them when the tide started coming in. So if you go when the tide is going out you are less likely to have them wash up on shore.

We did horseshoe Bay on Friday and had plenty of time. We got a minibus at about 2 and had just a little time in the Dockyard prior to boarding.

You can get there several ways. There are minibuses at the shipyard that are $7 per person each way. You just get on and go. A taxi will cost $40 each way for up to 4 people. You can take the public bus also. It will drop you off at the top of the hill rather than the bottom. It is totally easy to take the minibuses that is what I would recommend. 2 chairs and an umbrella run 40.

There was a crew member medical emergency. The patient was picked up by a pilot boat and had a 5 hour surgery in Bermuda. There was talk of him or her being able tof meet back with the crew in NJ.

I booked the July 24 Summit cruise on Sunday, A2 class, I used the resident rat and thus I did not get the Go Better plan, it was $1249 pp according to my big internet TA invoice.
Today on X's website the resident rate is $999 pp, but said big box TA can't find that rate. I put a 24 hour hold on today's rte on X's site. Any suggestions for saving $ in this situation?

I would take my chances. You will have a balcony so you will be able to enjoy outside so I would say yes it is better that inside.

Thanks all! I booked with a big website and am very happy with the price! I got an A2 suit with $200 OBC and tips for about $2600 all in for two of us. I think that is a pretty good price.

I booked the June 12th Summit cruise to Bermuda last Saturday. What I did to take advantage of the price and offers Celebrity was offering was to book directly with them. On Tuesday I then transferred my booking to a travel agent who gave me free parking in Bayonne (worth about $140) and another $225 in OBC. Not too bad. I got to keep the Celebrity perks of the classic beverage package and $300 OBC. The price actually went up too the day after I booked. I would not hesitate to do everything the same in the future.
how do you book with the cruise line and then transfer?

I am about to book the Summit for the July 31st sail to Bermuda. I was seeing on other websites that they are offering additional OBC (between 25-100) more than the Celebrity site itself. Being my first cruise I would feel more comfortable booking with the line itself. Will they match the OBC on other sites?
Also, I have cruised one time and that was NCL, can someone explaine how the dining works on Celebrity? Thanks!!

I am curious too!

Thanks again all! We are about to pull the trigger on the Celebrity Summit to Bermuda on July 31. Alaska will have to wait until next time.

I liked that idea of the NYC to Bermuda cruise. I am going to keep researching this option as well as a one way Alaska cruise. My budget would be a lot tighter for Alaska, I think if I can stretch it a bit, and we are ok with an inside cabin we may be able to pull it off, I want to get the cabin and air fare to the cruise for $3000-3500, that way we have a bit left for the cruise itself.
All of the information is very helpful and I am looking forward to experiencing this community more. Thanks Again!!!

Thank you all for your advice! I really appreciate it! I am really excited to research it all! I will look into a travel agent that I can sit down with. I hope to talk to you all more as we start the planning process through after the cruise!

LOL, thanks for the input! I actually meant my kids. I don't mind other people's as long as I don't have to take care of them.

Hi everyone!
My husband and I would like to go on a cruise this summer. We have about $3000 for the room and travel. I really don't care where we go. I just want to go somewhere where someone brings me drinks and there aren't kids crawling all over me. lol My ideal would be Alaska, but I really don't care. How do I go about getting the best deal? Our travel can be anywhere between mid-June to mid-August. Am I better off waiting a bit to get a good deal? I cruised about 7 years ago on NCL to the Mexican Riveria, but my mom organized and payed for it. Any suggestions are more than welcome! Thanks!
Review of Clearwater Beach & Sea Glass Beach

We used the minibuses service last week. We took the 9:30 ferry and then tried for the 6 bus to take us to Clearwater. We waited for over an hour through 2 or 3 of the scheduled busses and did not see a bus. When a local said " the schedule says a lot of things" we gave up on the 6 and went to fund the minibuses ( at the town hall) they leave every hour at 45 after. 12 total round trip and worth it. Drops you off at Gombeys. Picks up on the hour at the same place. Just make sure you don't have a wet suit on. The driver really made a point of that. It is an easy walk to the reserve where you are likely to find a cove all to yourself. Well worth the 12 IMO.
