  1. I've found that the RCI and Celebrity drink policies both work OK for us. My wife doesn't drink at all but she wants a couple of bottles of water for our stateroom. I drink maybe a glass of wine in the evenings. We used our RCI drink allowance mostly for specialty coffee or bottled water.

We are Elite Plus so we get all the specialty coffee / tea we need on Celebrity.

I did like the old Celebrity Captain's Club Happy Hour in the Sky Lounge as we met a lot of great people that way. But we can make do.

  2. We did a *lot* of cruising on Celebrity from 2006 - 2018. Then after a 2019 cruise on RCI came COVID. Last year we went on another RCI cruise to use up credits we had from Canceled COVID dates.

Now we are coming back to Celebrity as we got a good deal on a Caribbean cruise on Reflection.

We'll see how it goes. We don't have high expectations, we have Elite Plus status so we get a number of perks.

I doubt we'll ever cruise on E class - the IV "balconies" look ridiculous and we would never pay the kind of money Celebrity is asking for a suite. We also don't like the creeping stratification going on with Edge where you can't even go near the bow of the ship unless you pay a premium.

Fortunately at our age, the S class ships will be around as long as we can cruise.

  3. Could not disagree more with above comments about Mellissa. We are not super Elite nor do we bully anyone, but when we met her this time she remembered us by sight, the fact that we usually travel with our small grandchildren. She was around the Lounges every evening to say hello to the folks who were there. We did not have an Elite lounge per se on the Transatlantic this time. Nobody got ignored as far as I could see.

I do agree that Jenny is also a terrific CC Hostess.
