Just got off the Allure. Had the worst meal of my life in Giovannis. What is with the new menu. There is nothing remotely Italian about it. Just had to vent. No bashing please.

This review is so fun. Keep it going! It's the highlight of my day!

You all are keeping me in stitches! Your not even on the ship yet, I can't wait for more.

Hi Norway, where are you from? I'm from Weymouth!
I forgot to ask, why was this thread named The Four Headed Monster? Was Battle of the Bastards already taken?:evilsmile::evilsmile::evilsmile:
I'm from a small town called Groveland. I'm in Boston a lot as my BFF lives in Southie!

This Boston girl is following along! It's going to be a bumpy ride! Can't wait to hear about your adventures!

When I log into my cruises my reservation is not there. Anyone else having this problem? If I click on the "don't see my reservation" link and enter all my information I can see it. Do you think this is an IT issue? Just worried it's not available when I log in .

I question this as well. We have a 5 hour tour in Nassau The ship leaves at 1:00 now with the propeller problem. It supposedly starts at 8:00 am according to the Web site. I'm thinking of cancelling because of this. I don't want to miss any time on the ship. What do you all think?

Has anyone been to Pearl Island in 2017? I'm going in November and would like an honest review.

Just had this same issue although I did receive the invoice. Final payment was due. It showed up on my bank account then was gone the next day. It took two more days to actually post to my bank account. They must do them in large batches.

I am going on Allure in November. I have My Time Dining and am in a Grand Suite. I believe you just show them your suite card to eat whenever you want. Has this changed? Not a big Coastal Kitchen fan.

362 till Allure! So looking forward to it!:)

Great review as always Andrew. You always make me laugh. Have a wonderful remaining cruise.

I put magnets on my door and they all were stolen. Not sure I will decorate again.

I was on the Allure In May of this year. I contacted the consierge one month prior to sailing and was able to book my cabana. We booked a standard cabana, it was well worth it for us. Just reconfirm once on board with the consierge. The best part is embarkation and debarkation. It was a breeze. Loved the Voom too.:):)

Thanks for your review. I had a totally different experience than you in May of this year. Everyone I encountered on the ship were helpful and very friendly. I had no problem with the website and booked everything on line including spa treatments. I have to say that I don't understand why everyone needs an app for everything. What did we all do before cell phones and apps? A post it note works just as well to stay in touch with one another. Nothing in life is perfect and it's the people you travel with that make a vacation special. You can't please everyone. Glad you did enjoy your cruise. All the rest is just being picked in my opinion.

I had a manicure/pedicure on Allure in May. I didn't get the upsell. I also don't talk a lot during my treatment, maybe that has something to do wit it.
-
Just to let you know they are large 1 liter bottles. Worth the cost is up to you.

I stayed in a Grand Suite in May this year. I found the bed to be very comfortable! :)

I was just on the Allure Western Carribian itinerary in May. You always stay on EST. My suggestion is to bring a watch as your phone May adjust to the local time. Have a great cruise!

[yquote=rncruiser;54608249]I also just got off Allure and thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Giovanni’s. There were 6 of us. Our waiter brought out a selection of appetizers. We enjoyed mozzarella and tomato, pork belly, grilled octopus, who tuna, and an antipasto plate. All were delicious. I had veal osso bucco for my main course and our waiter brought us a selection of pastas to enjoy. There was fettuccine carbonara, linguini bologna session, gnocchi, and mushroom risotto. Each dish was fabulous. I can’t recall what I had for dessert, but definitely delicious as well. It was definitely one of the best meals I have ever had, at sea or on land.

Food is subjective, none of the items listed in your post remind me of Italian food. Don’t like any of them. Had to get two approvals to get Mom chicken parm. Then it came with mashed potatos. Too gourmet for me. I ordered steak and it was fatty. Couldn’t get a baked potato either. I can’t remember what my friend ate but she said the sauce tasted like Ragu. Old menu had much better choices. Ate there twice last year on my cruise and loved it. Had dishes off the menu too. I got the steak because I didn’t like anything on the menu. Just my opinion but I’ll never go back again unless they change the menu back.
