  1. Never did Bacardi, due to all negative comments about it.

But its very easy to walk to forts and through streets of Old San Juan.

Do not pay for any walking excursion tour or transportation to either fort.

Take your map and enjoy the day walking through the streets to go to forts.:)

  2. I think this the best time to be in PR. Definitely start by walking up and back to fort. You can then make your way through sides streets and all the shops. Our first time there we hit up Senior Frogs when it was still on a back street, it was a lot of fun. Unfortunately after they moved it closer to pier, they changed things. We were not able to go in and just sit at bar and have drinks, you had to sit at table and order food. But if you have never been at one, try it once.

Then There is this corner bar, where you can sit outside at tables and see ships all lit up. They make the absolute best Piña Colada!!!! I can't remember the name lol, because of the coladas but hoping we can find it again in May.

  3. Sailed on Grandeur with a of 15. This was our second RC cruise. We picked this ship because of the itinerary to western Caribbean.

Unfortunately we will never sail again on this ship. And I want to state I have never given a bad review on anything!

A few cons: small public areas due to ship size

    Sewer smell in certain areas

Had 1 day of no toilets flushing, was fixed in short time

Half of upper deck closed for first half of trip, doing maintemnce on it which included spraying paint or rubber which fumes came down to pool area, then when deck finally opened it looked like they had kindergarten kids paint the deck, it was a mess.

No air conditioning in windjammer till we reached Mexico, could not sit in there to eat too hot, people couldn't breathe.

2 of 4 hot tubs near pool closed first 2 days, 1 closed due to

    "Fecal accident"

50 percent of time coffee machine empty, ice cream empty

Horrible bar service, especially around pool and in lounge areas.Servers not too friendly. If you went to bar to get drink at least 20 min wait.

Unable to keep track of your on board account thru tv, had to go to desk to check on it, which you stood in line listening to everyone complain about something

I feel I have stated enough cons even though there are more.

The cruise director was very good and our main dining room staff were very friendly. We will not be going back on Granduer and will stick with Carnival, never had a complaint with Carnival

  4. Just sailed Grandeur nov 1 on 11 day cruise with a group of 15. Not one of us would ever go back on that ship and it wasn't just our group. We heard plenty of people saying it was the worst cruise ship they were ever on. Cons- small ship, smaller lounge areas, upper deck blocked off for first half of cruise when ship was packed, smell of sewer in certain areas, one day toilets wouldn't flush, although they quickly fixed this, 2 days unable to eat in windjammer due to air conditioning broken, too hot for people to sit in there and eat, bar service was worst ever! Servers on deck areas were not happy or friendly, we would say 10 percent of staff was friendly and upbeat, half the time coffee containers empty, ice cream machines empty. Let's just say not too many happy people were on that cruise

  5. Sorry but just came off Grandeur with a large group several kids, ages 4, 11, 11, 17 and 17, teens were bored and so were the younger ones we . We all agreed we would never cruise Grandeur again. We will go back to Carnival. It wasn't just our group not happy, we heard a lot of people complaining on board! We were on Pride 2 years ago and would not hesitate to go back on Pride. I'm actually sorry I have to give Grandeur such a bad review but it was the worst ship we were ever on
