I thought with the drink package, you still have to pay the tip on the drinks? Is that not the case then?
Also, what does this mean? https://www.travelpulse.com/news/cruise/celebrity-cruises-adds-surcharge-for-promotional-drink-packages.html
Anyone know where to get can sodas on the infinity?
thanks!

Perhaps not do only one excursion? Allow people to do different things?
I sincerely appreciate the advice and idea, but our trip is with a group that sees each other only once every couple years, at most, so I think the maximum time (reasonably!) we can spend together would be the preference. Certainly, there will be times, especially on the ship, where the younger folk will want to hang out on their own, away from the older 'fogies', but excursions would be a good time to be together.

Hello fellow cruisers!
I will be traveling in a group of 6 next August on the Celebrity Infinity. The group consists of younger folks (18, 21 and 25 year old), two middle aged, and one elderly.
Any recommendations on a great excursion in Corfu that could appeal to a group with group of ages? Looking at really old buildings might not be the cup of tea for the young folks (they probably would want a water activity in August), but the elderly person would need something good for limited mobility (not long walking).
Thanks in advance.

The 1 & 4 year old will be much happier and better suited at the buffet..
Can I please offer a differing view, and not to consider the buffet. On my past cruises, I much prefer the sit-down dining, with a waiter. To me, it seems like a hassle (when I am on vacation) to shuffle around getting my food, dodging the other guests who are hungry too, and then having to juggle my drinks, etc. I much prefer the sit-down, and everything is brought to me like the King I am! ha ha.

thanks for all the responses!
I should have asked this in my original question.
I want to pay for someone else's 'required' gratuities that is a member of our cabin, but then allow the person to register their own credit card on their cruise charge card for any additional purchases they make. Right now the person's account has my credit card assigned to their account, but I would like to switch this once we get onboard. So can I just go pay cash at the front desk for the gratuities for their account, and then have our cabin mate change the account to have their credit card, and not mine? I understood that the amount I would pay would just get credited to their account, and not necessarily applied to the "Gratuities" amount, but if the person made no other charges on the cruise, then they would be even steven.

Hi,
Is it possible to pay gratuities in cash at the beginning of cruise?
Thx

So we are booked in a quad room, but one of our passengers is getting married and won't be joining us. Will HL allow us to still have the quad room, do we still have to pay based on 4 passengers, or can we only have the 3 paying passengers in a quad room? We don't want to give up our quad room, but we also don't want to pay the port charge/tax/tips for a fourth person that is no longer cruising.
What do you think?
Thanks!!!!

traveling with the gals in fall, and they are wondering if on the pull out sofa can be moved so that it opens facing the balcony? that way the ladies can get outside to smoke at night if they have to, without falling on the one in the sofa and potentially breaking some bones? the pictures we have seen with the pull out sofa do not leave much room to walk past the sofa when it is pulled out to get outside
thanks so much!

Would someone please post some pics or video of the new balcony room on oosterdam on observation deck? Were these rooms finished? According to the oosterdam web site, the rooms are available after April 18?
thanks so much, happy cruising!

The gals and I just bought the unlimited laundry for our 12 day Mediterranean cruise for this fall. The price is $84, which comes out to be about $7/day, give or take. called ship services, 1-800-541-1576 , and they had me charge it now to my card.

Oh great, glad to hear you had a great time on Oosterdam. The gals and I will be going on Oosterdam later this year after dry dock, and we are really looking forward to it. All the best to you.:)

thanks to all that responded. Some good comments that are very appreciated.

So the gals are going to the Med. on Oosterdam this summer, and some of us are not keen to hot weather! Does anyone have ideas for "cool" activities at port or within short driving distance. Beach (water activities like snorkeling) or similar would be top of the list? The ports are:
Livorno (Florence/Pisa), Italy
Monte Carlo, Monaco
St Tropez, France
Ajaccio, Corsica, France
Almeria, Spain
Ceuta, Spanish Morocco, Spain
Marseille (Provence), France
Sete, France
Barcelona, Spain

Welcome home Linda.
I am glad you had a good cruise!
I will be sailing later in the year with the gals. We are a frugal bunch, and thinking ahead, we are planning to bring our own coffee and mugs onboard, we want to relax on deck 10 in the Explorations Cafe, playing scrabble, sipping our coffee, and gabbing!
So....does the Explorations Cafe have free hot water, where we could make our own instant flavored coffees? We don't like paying for all the extras on a cruise, we are more than happy with the already included items.
Thanks a bunch.

just curious, is the men's setup the same way as women's, with several showers, etc.?
-
So would you recommend the stuff a bag for $20, or purchase of the unlimited, for a 12 day cruise? 3 in a cabin? how many pairs of ladies jeans could you fit in the stuff a bag?
thanks! -
to add to this thread...
just curious, what is to stop a group (2 cabins) from pooling their dirty drawers and buying one unlimited laundry purchase? Not that I would..... -
3rdGen, thanks so much, this is super helpful. It sounds like this will be ideal, even if we have to bring our own towels. On a past Carnival trip, we would parade down the hallway in our Carnival robes after our showers (no legs, mind you!)

Traveling on oosterdam to the Mediterranean later this fall, and wondered if the ship has public showers? We will have 3 ladies in our cabin, and we thought one or two of us could shower in the fitness center's showers? Is that even possible, without 'joining' the Spa center for the trip? If so, what are the facilities like?
thanks!!
