It will be our first cruise with Celebrity January 14th 2018 on Sihouette and first time to the Caribbean !

Ports of call - San Juan, St Croix,Antigua,Grenada,Barbados,St Lucia & St Kitts . Are US dollars accepted in all these places?

Our previous cruises have been in the med and we have always done our own thing once in port. The only excursion we have booked so far is a catamaran day with Silver Moon in Barbados. What are the immediate port areas like on the other islands - is it easy to use local taxis. Any advice and recommended places to visit is most appreciated .Happy to do a beach day but would also like to visit historical places,nice gardens etc.Counting the days now:)

We decided to go with celebrity - they added a tailored made package - flights with BA Manchester to Heathrow to Miami - private transfers to FL - overnight stay then transfer to ship. Flights worked out just under ?500 each - flights are good times so happy 😉. To do this way was told at first would have to pay upfront but actually this wasn't the case - added to our overall bill. Looked at Skyscanner etc first cheapest fares were around ?400 but longer travel time in total and late night flights on way home. Thanks again 10 months to get excited now 😂

We booked our cruise for Jan 2018 well in advance directly through celebrity- so at that point flights weren't available. Can anyone advise regarding the best way to book flights - want most cost effective without more than one stopover - we would fly initially from Manchester - Boarding Silhouette in Fort Lauderdale? Has anyone from UK booked flights directly with Celebrity? Any advice most appreciated.

Sounds like MDR and speciality restaurants may be better choice for us. Spend most of year watching what i eat so do like to indulge whilst away😉.

Now to decide which cabin - OH thinks one near stairs/elevator might be noisy- thankfully mobility for us is not an issue! I would just like decent size balcony.

Very much looking forward to trying celebrity- enjoyed NCL Gem, also sailed on Thomson Dream - but not for us!

Hoping to book ultimate Caribbean 2018 - thinking about an aqua class stateroom - if so can guests choose to dine in the main dining room and the speciality restaurants as well? Has anyone done both normal balcony cabin and Aqua class - which would you recommend. Any tips appreciated:)
