We are trying to decide on an independent whale watching tour. We are currently looking at Harv and Marv's or Juneau Tours? Has anyone had experience with either that could provide insight to help us decide? Any questions I need to ask myself to help with the decision?
Thanks

My husband and I are going on an Alaskan cruise in May. I am trying to decide in which ports to purchase excursions and which ports can be enjoyed by exploring on our own.
Juneau
Skagway
Tracy Arm Fjord
Ketchikan
Victoria

The $150 was just for the one night before the cruise. I am open to other pricing for our after the cruise stay.

Prior to Cruise: We are flying into Seattle on May 10th for a Carnival May 11th cruise departure. We plan to Uber to a hotel near the port for one night and then Uber to the port the next day. What hotels would you recommend? We don't need anything fancy as we are just using it as a sleeping point for one night. Would love to keep it in the $150 range.
After Cruise: We disembark on Thursday May 18th. We plan to stay two nights in the Seattle area to see the city. Do you recommend us renting a car for those two days? What hotels do you recommend? We want to see Space Needle and Pike Place Market for sure.
TIA

Closest stop to Southernmost Points one block away at Whitehead and United, Hemingway house stops are also a block away, as well as Truman Little White House. Here is a video I made that follows the routs and shows all the stops.
Grumpy-- This is perfect. Thanks so much!!

Not until June. But of course that could change if needed.

I was looking at some of the hop on/hop off excursions. In my research, I came across information about the Duval Loop Key West Shuttle which appears to be free. Would this take me to all the main points of interest? Hemingway House, Truman Little White House, Southernmost point?
Thanks in advance.

My husband are looking at doing an extended cruise (10-15 days). We have also looked at doing a back to back cruise. Can someone lists for me the pros and cons to deciding which option would be best for us?

We just dd the Sea Trek in St Maarten last week. My husband and I are in our 50s. I am a non swimmer so I was a little apprehensive at first. It was one of the best excursions ever. The helmet does not feel heavy in the water. My husband has a bad back and did not have any problems with it. At the bottom of the ladder, you have a "trail" to walk on with railings on each side. We saw a helicopter wreckage, cannons, and lots of fish. It was an amazing adventure. I highly recommend it.

My husband and I are doing the Sea Trek Helmet Diving in St. Maarten. Do you know what kind of shoes are required for this excursion? Also any idea how much the photos cost?
Thanks

Wonderful review so far!!! The pictures are fabulous. Thank you so much.
We'll be on the Sunshine next April. The last time we were on the ship was in 2006 when she was the Destiny. Looking forward to reading about the ports. We've never been to St. Kitts.
We will be on the April 6th sailing.

I am having trouble with the link. Can someone tell me if the CD for Sunshine April 2019 is listed?

Our cruise is end of April into beginning of May on the Splendor. Will the movies be the “April movie selection” or will we actually get both selections?
I read that April and May would be the same.

My husband and I have been on the Dream twice. We are looking at a cruise next year on the Conquest. Can someone give me an overview of the differences and similarities?

I keep reading that it is expensive to purchase photos here, but I can't find any prices. I am just trying to get a ballpark price for pictures so I don't have complete sticker shock.
Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks

Cruise Director Chris Williams did a full concert by himself one night during our cruise in October. It was the most awesome show I have ever seen on a ship. My husband was even blown away by it. (We're both in our 60s). Chris is absolutely amazing.
He is awesome!

My husband and I were on the Dream last April. We saw all the nightly production shows and loved them. We will be going on the Dream again this May. Does anyone know if the shows will be the same or do they change regularly?

I just realized that our cruise leaves New Orleans during Jazz Fest. We are planning to spend two days in town before we sail. We are not interested in attending Jazz Fest. Will the activities of Jazz Fest affect us being able to walk around the French Quarter? Last time we loved spending the afternoon sitting on the curb listening to the street musicians.
TIA

My husband and I are going on a 3 night cruise next month. We have already picked out a cruise for the spring. Should we book it now or wait and book it while on our cruise?
Thanks

As much as I love an 8 day cruise, in this case I'd take the Dream. Fantasy is the oldest ship in the fleet and Dream is the 4th newest (if you don't count the Sunshine). I'd rather have the Dream Class amenities than the extra day. But that is just me, lots of people don't like the Dream Class.
We loved the Dream!!

I need some help in deciding between two cruises for next April.
Scenario #1
7 Day Carnival Dream out of New Orleans
Cozumel, Belize, Mahogany Bay & Costa Maya
Scenario#2
8 Day Carnival Fantasy out of Mobile
Costa Maya, Mahogany Bay, Belize, Cozumel & Yucatan
We did the Dream last year and loved it, but have not done the Fantasy. I like the idea of an extra day and an extra port stop. I would love to hear opinions on comparing the two ships and anything else that I should think about when making this decision.

We are going on Carnival Dream. We want to do a ruins excursion. Trying to decide between one in Cozumel or one in Belize?
Any opinions between the two?

Shoe Question
in Alaska
Posted
After researching, I know that layers are the way to go for clothing. Now on to shoes.
Our cruise is in mid May. We are whale watching in Juneau, train/bus ride in Skagway and exploring on our own in Ketchikan and Victoria.
Do I need to bring waterproof hiking boots, rain boots or will tennis shoes/sneakers be good enough? I know the weather can be rainy and don't want to be walking around with wet feet. But since we are flying to Seattle, I don't want to pack items that are not needed.
Thanks
