Thank you everyone....lots a great information here. It's been so long since we've cruised, that I feel like a novice again!

Thanks so much. I’ve enjoyed the movies under the stars on Princess, sorry to hear Celebrity doesn’t offer that comfy outdoor movie experience

Looking to book a cruise, have always done Princess, which I like. But am interested in a new experience. Does Celebrity have outdoor movies...a.k.a. Movies Under The Stars?

Have not been on a cruise in years and are now ready to get back to it! We've always cruised Princess, but are open to other lines. Celebrity caught our eye, and I'm wondering about the dining. While we enjoy formal-ish dining, we also enjoy anytime buffet, or pool area burgers, pizza, salads, etc.... Does Celebrity have those options as well as their dining room options? Princess has a fairly large 24hr buffet, pool side food options, as well as upscale dining room (additional cost)....what are the Celebrity choices? Appreciate the feedback!

And think about this... The biggest Carnival ship that was around in 1985 was a little over 1/3 the size of a current CONQUEST-class ship!
That thought did cross my mind when I was looking at our pictures.
We had a great time on that cruise, but it was NOTHING like the cruises we take today!
Breakfast was continental style, nothing hot. No midnight buffet, or any type of buffet for that matter. Mid-morning and mid-afternoon tea was literally tea and cookies....enough cookies so that each passenger got 2, but no more!:(
We still enjoyed it though, but glad we cruise the way we do now!

The Veracruz was my first cruise in 1985. We had a wonderful time! The staterooms were so tiny and the bathrooms..oh my....we could shower and use the toilet at the same time!:p I have picture of the Veracruz beside a Carnival ship....the Veracruz looked like the Carnival's tugboat:D

I think what I liked about Princess in the past was the Movies Under the Stars at night - I remember watching Pirates of the Caribbean at the time...fun! But I also enjoyed the aft pool for adults only during the day to get away from the daytime movies.
