Does anyone know what the Blackjack tables minimums are? Sailing on Independence July 7th. Last time I played was on Freedom and that was a while ago.

I find that a lot of info isn't up-to-date on the HOS cruise planner. As of yesterday, they are only showing 3 days of entertainment for the July 14, 2016 sailing. I called RCCI when I could only book the "headliner" show on the 14th at 8:00. They were no help at all. Seems that they have some kinks to iron out.

Sailing on Harmony July 14th from Rome. Chomping at the bit to read your review and see your pics. Have been on Oasis and it was pure paradise so I expect HOS to be the same and then some. Have a wonderful time and have a drink for me!!

I'm a pretty good blackjack player and always play to come out even so I never lose. If I am winning and I lose 3x in a row, I get up from the table. Blackjack has the best odds of a player winning in a casino, though that doesn't say much! The slots have the worst odds. I have no intention of losing my hard-earned money. However having said that, I learned my lesson the hard way on on Freedom of the Seas! My husband and I were playing blackjack, thinking we were just the cat's meow and and we went on the losing streak of all losing streaks. The dealer was killing us. She would make 21 out of nothing no matter what we had. It was unbelievable.We changed tables and the same thing happened. I guess you could say, thanks to RC, I developed my Never Again strategy. Since I live close to Vegas, I go once a year, enjoy myself by breaking even or winning and therefore, I consider that winning no matter what. My Never Again strategy keeps my wallet okay. Looking forward to the same on Harmony of the Seas on the July 14th sailing.

Thanks so much for your response. I called RC and actually, you're right! It turns out my ship originates in Barcelona but I board in Rome (my cruise is 7 days so I guess it's 10 days for the other folks). For them, it would be the third day. I decided to tour Rome the day before I board.

Hello! Glad to be part of this forum. While I've cruised several times before, this is my first time cruising the Western Med. I'm a little confused about how the Rome shore excursions work since they're on Day 1 and that's the day the day of departure. The one I'm interested in leaves at 6:45am and lasts for 10 hrs and 30 min. When does that leave time for check-in, etc.? The ship leaves at 8pm!

I'm planning on getting to Rome earlier and would rather tour the day before the ship leaves. I'm assuming I'm not the only one who does this. If so, then that would mean I wouldn't be the only one hanging around a huge, empty ship on the day of departure, lol!

Any advice is much appreciated.
