Dream team is a great description.  Papi is such a gentleman with a wonderful smile and kind words.  Wishing him luck always!  I am back on the Escape this Sunday...

Oh. Sad to hear this news.  I was told he left for vacation in July the last time I was on the Escape.   Did he go to another cruiseline?

Yes I have sailed on the Escape - six times.   Looking forward to our seventh sailing on this beautiful ship with her outstanding officers and staff on 8/25.   I agree that the Senior Officers are very accommodating and readily available.

We are booked on the Escape / Bermuda cruise from NYC. We always check in as Casino at Sea guests but we are also Platinum Plus Latitudes level. Is there a benefit to check in at the Latitudes Priority desk?

So happy...our upgrade bid for the NCL Breakaway 11/26 itinerary was accepted yesterday. We were originally booked the OA - Oceanview’ category and we were upgraded to a ‘BI - Aft Balcony. Honestly, we would have been happy staying in the OA catergory if our bid was not accepted but will certainly enjoy the large AFT balcony - what a nice surprise! Our bid was conservative - mid Poor / closer to Fair range.

It would be great fun to have a stalker! I get "Gawkers" at the Port as Jerome and I are checking in. These ladies are usually pointing at me (Don't think I don't see you out of the corner of my eye)......."Look Harold, that's them, you know, the boys!" "JW and Jerome" "Go and say hello Honey", I would suspect Harold the Husband to say. "Oh No, I just couldn't" "What would I say?" "Hi JW, I am one of your stalkers?" Oh please, I wish ya'all would! I have never had a stalker. Well, except for that one time I wrote about on The Celebrity Reflection with the Japanese guy always taking pictures of me, especially when he got me on the handicap toilet when the automatic door flung open wide open to Jeezus and I was sitting doin' my emergency constitution.

Have a GREAT vacation!!!!! I am missing your 'live' adventure by just one week - I would have definitely asked for your autograph. Maybe I will be lucky enough to see you from afar when you are disembarking and we are waiting to board on 4/01.

I am now counting the days -16 days to be exact until I am sipping a Mojito poolside on the beautiful Escape once again.

I believe Tom (AHD on Escape last year) is no longer with NCL.

As of right now thru March, on The Escape, Jovo is the Hotel Director. Deepak is the F&B Director. Kvanc is on another ship, but I do not know which one. Adrian was to leave as Concierge, to join the Joy in Europe, the first Saturday in March, but I have no idea if that happened. You know so much is touch and go with the new ship coming online. We will be on The Escape in two weeks and I will report back here who was on the ship and who is expected to be on the ship thru May, if they know.

That Trio has been together for eons. Now, I wonder how their Mandarin lessons are going? I can just see Sean speaking Mandarin with a German accent, how awesome is that? I could think of a dozen chapters to write about just talking about this........................funny! But I am so proud of their accomplishments and the three of them deserve all the accolades they are getting by opening up The Joy. That is considered High Honors. Look at this. We are talking about Officers on Norwegian Ships that must have touched our lives in a good way. I Can't even tell you ANY of the Officers names on any other cruise line that we have traveled on in the past decade. Yet somehow, Sean, Martin, Juno, Kevanc, Jose, Andre and so many others have made a difference in our vacations. Oh! And I can't leave out Andy Stewart! Not my Andy. Love my Andy!

 

That is why NCL is amazing.

Adrian had mentioned to me that they would taking Mandarin and also have a translator with them.

Two more Officers for the list:::: Mustafa and Joao Gigante - they always placed a smile my face as well. I 'heard' that they both were promoted from F&B Director to Hotel Director (or Asst HD)

How lucky are we to be treated like gold by so many of the NCL Officers that we can speak so highly of them. Let's not forget Julie, the famous Cruise Director....the best!!!

Since both Martin and Sean are due in the next few weeks in Germany to bring out The Joy, not sure beyond Jovo who is currently on The Escape.

Ha! "The Dastardly Duo" and most assuredly the most beloved of all the Officers on Norwegian Ships, Sean and Martin. Jerome and I love them both, but that is not to say others don't fill their shoes well. Juno and Kivanc are fun and super qualified but my all time favorite is Jose Contreras...... BAR MANAGER! UBP RULER OF THE BOOZE!

The JOY is one lucky ship to have Sean and Martin plus Adrian. I agree Jose is 'the man' !!!! I love them all !!! I am counting the days.

OH NO!!!!! I better get VIBE passes - the pool is going to be either crazy - or - the 'show' will be worth it..... I better get my popcorn now. The funny thing is we wanted to go on your cruise but our friends wanted the 4/01 cruise and now they may not be going at all !!!! Our CC told me that there are a lot of cabins still available as of today. I guess a crazy cruise is better than no cruise at all.
