  1. Upgrade to the Classic Package for the frozen drinks such as pina colada, dacquiri, etc. Well worth it at $18pp per day and tips are included when you upgrade to the Classic Package. Here is a link to a comparison chart on the drinks included between the 3 packages.

    :D

Do you know if this chart exist for Mediterranean cruises too?

  2. Has anybody upgraded an Aurea drink package(all-inclusive) to a Deluxe package on a sailing in the Mediterranean?I sailed with the MSC Seaside in March and will be sailing the MSC Bellissima next summer. On the Seaside I upgraded our drink packages, 56$ per week, so I wanted to upgrade our packages next year too, but they tell me the price to upgrade to the Deluxe package cost over three times as much for my sailing with the Bellissima. Can that really be the case? Does anybody have any experience with upgrading drink packages in the Mediterranean?

  3. My son har bought himself a Nerf gun at Toys’R Us and want to bring it back home to Norway, but first we are doing a cruise with MSC. I was wondering if anybody know if we can bring the Nerf guns onboard the cruise ship? If not, can they store it somewhere for him, and give it back when we disembark in Miami?

  4. We are considering cruising with MSC Seaside in an Aurea whirlpool suite, and I was curious on how big I could expect the whirlpool to be. I know the ship is not finished yet, but how big is the whirlpools on other MSC ships or comparable suites with other cruiselines?

    • MSC USA website updated description for grand suite. see below. I think it is clear now.

      • Spacious suites that come with a balcony and a separate sitting area
      • Each suite is equipped with Air conditioning, spacious wardrobes, interactive LCD TV, telephone, mini bar and safe
      • Surface approximately 344 - 527 sq. ft., plus a balcony up to 226 sq. ft.
      • 1 bedroom/1 bathroom - a queen bed,* a double sofa bed and a pullman bed to accomodate up to 5 guests (11 suites)
      • 2 bedrooms/2bathrooms - queen bed* in bedroom 1 and two single beds in bedroom 2 and a pullman bed for up to 5 guests (Suites 1101, 12001 and 14001)
      • Suites 14002 and 14003 accomodate only 2 guests
      • Wi-Fi connection available (for a fee)

I can't seem to find this info on their page, have they removed it?

  5. The funny thing is that according to MSC, the 14001 suite is bigger and sleeps 4, but the smaller 13001 and 10001 suites sleeps 5... I think it sounded a bit strange, so I'm exited to see how the interior of the suites will look like when it's done.

  6. I have seen the graphics and layout, and the two suits I mentioned looks smaller than the others, and I was wondering if that is the case. I don't want to order a suite believing it is a two bedroom suite, and then later discovering there is only one bedroom in it.

The info differs from page to page. At iCruise they inform the suit size is from 376 - 674 sq ft.

  7. I'm planing on ordering a Family suite on Oasis and were looking at suite 12638 or 12648. I found some information on Allure where they stated these suits had whirlpools on the balcony. Has anyone stayed on either of these suits, and know for sure if both of these suits have whirlpools too? What other furniture do they have on the balcony? Pictures and experiences would be very much appreciated.
