If your post-cruise involves renting a car, be aware that the border crossing from Spain to Gibraltar is sometimes heavily delayed for political reasons -- and Brexit may make this even more of a problem!

Thank you for this great review. DH and I are doing the Douro cruise on AMA starting August 15. We are continuing post-cruise on our own to Seville, Rock of Gibralter (where John and Yoko were married) and then a few days back in Lisbon. I am so looking forward to this trip and your review just added to my excitement.

My DH and I are excited to take the AMA Douro cruise in August 2016 (warm I know but it will be cooler than Texas!). There is one optional excursion - a Flamenco Dance. Neither of us are fans of flamenco but if it is really good and something not to be missed I want to take it. Was it "cheesy?" Where did it take place? Was it something you enjoyed?
