  1. I'm not sure because we haven't gone yet, but on that mom's blog site, they said you can store the strollers(folded) underneath the beds in the cabins. That's what we plan on doing. I would think storing them in hallway would not be allowed - fire hazard?

  2. Disney does seem to be seriously expensive. This is our first time cruising, but our two year old twins LOVE Minnie, and our older two girls LOVE the princesses, so it had to be Disney. Our two cabins, just plain verandah ones, will cost us $15,000, for the 6 of us to take our 7 day cruise to Caribbean. Thankfully, we don't have airfare. I will certainly look for lower prices/deals on Disney cruises, but I am thinking of going Princess cruise to Alaska in 2 years time.

  3. I am going thru the same here. Going on disney fantasy with 4 children, 2 of whom are 2 year old twins. The disney cruise mom blog said that the strollers on board rent out very fast. Our double stroller is the macdaddy one, so will be too big to bring. We do want to have something, just in case, because with all the activity we thought the twins would be having nap "attacks". We are going to bring 2 umbrella strollers, thinking they will be easier to store in our two connecting cabins. I want umbrella strollers that have backs that recline, or else the twins can't really nap in them. Costco and Sam's club both have them, and there are a lot of gently used baby stores around me, so I will have some options. Hope that helps you some

  4. Yes, I can see that tipping is a highly emotional topic. I had no idea it was comparable to politics or religion😀😀. As I had the tipping chart in front of me as I was inquiring about it, I naturally assumed that the tipping info had recently changed, and that the higher tipping I was looking at was the updated version. As I am a frequent visitor to disney world, i was not incredibly surprised that the new tipping would be so high. It was quite an eye-opener to be so chastised. I was, thankfully, able to find out how to ignore/block messages once I became uncomfortable with certain people. Again, I am thrilled that I don't have to tell my husband that the tipping would be an additional $3,500.

  5. ARGH!!! AGAIN, I was under the incorrect assumption that the tips would total more than $3500 for the week. Rounding it up to $600 is reasonable, but please. Feel free to chastise me again for innocently questioning what I found to be a rather effusive gratuity plan. I will hesitate to ever ask another question on this site

  6. Thank you for your help. That would certainly be a reasonable amount. I will contact the booking agency in the morning to verify. I was quite upset to have to add another $3500 plus to our our overall cost. I appreciate the help and patience. I am still dismayed over the immediate, unpleasant, comments to my question. I thought that was what this site was here for - to help new cruisers. I have to say, in the future, I will only look for questions/answers similiar to mine rather than post my own.

  7. Again, from the chart supplied to me by my booking agency, it lists the costs as I indicated, which results in $336 per day just for dining. We are a family of 6. So the chart lists the costs, on a 7 night cruise (tips go up as cruise length increases), to be $84 per night, per person - that cost including the stateroom host. So, with our 4 children, that cost would be over $300 in gratuties per night (not including the stateroom host). I don't know if this is incorrect or not, that is why I am asking here. But, according to small world vacations, that is the amount of the gratutity owed, each night.

  8. PARDON ME, the replies I have seen are incorrect in their assumption of costs.

But the question of tipping involves the following: a $12 charge per person, per day, for each of the three people in the restaurants during dinner (thats $216) per dinner. Per day. Even if we don't eat there that night???!!! I am really quite unpleasantly surprised by the snarkiness in some of the replies received here.

There is a seperate tip/gratutity for the stateroom host, again, per person, per day. I was not questioning this. I do question if I should have to be pay an additional $216 per day if we are not able to eat at the restaurants.

  9. Ok, twofold question here. If we are on,y planning on dining in the 3 restaurants for 3 of the 7 nights, are we still expected to tip for all seven nights? We were assigned the late seating and will not be able to go most nights. And, secondly, does the $12 per head tip include our 2 year olds? Thanks
