  1. Hi all, were first time cruisers and trying to pack for the kids parties. It seems in some of the posts that I read there are themes. Can anyone show me the schedule for the teen activities for a week cruise on the Allure. We are going to the eastern caribbean (St Maarten, Puerto Rico and Labadee) if that matters. Thank you for your time. Any other pointers for traveling with kids this age would be welcomed as well :)

  2. Leaving on Allure a week from today (July 22) tried to reserve stuff online with the cruise planner. Got drinks WIFI etc. However, every time I tried to book a show it would charge me so I didn't do it as I thought the entertainment was free. So I finally call today and they say they are all booked no open spots. I want to see mamma mia and auria. We have a family of 4 traveling together. Any advice on how to get tickets?

    Thanks for your time.

  3. Here is a spreadsheet to see if it is worth it. Just change the package cost to what you would be paying and put the amounts of what drinks you would typically get in a day on the ship.

This is awesome, thank you so much. I thought the gratuities were included in the package prices of the deals but not on the individual prices of the drinks if you didn't have a package.... Please advise if I am incorrect.

  4. Hi there, trying to decide on what kind of room to get for us. hubby wants a oceanview balcony and I am thinking since the 15 year old is 6'2" already I should get 2 rooms (hopefully connecting) I would like to be close to the action but not have it be super noisy any suggestions on which deck and where on the ship. The 12 year old does get motion sickness sometimes.

Also is Allure the best for this age group? If we are spending this much money on a trip I really want them to have a great time.

    Thank you for your time,

  5. Hi fellow cruisers. First time cruiser here and I need the family to have a great time so we can book a better/longer one next time. Hubby is scared of boats...

The only cruises that work in our schedules are

    Carnival Victory and Fantasy

    RC Enchantment of the Seas

    and Norwegian Sky

    All are 3-4 nights.

I have a girl age 10 loves arts crafts cooking dance

Boy age 13 loves video gaming movies music

We would like to do together Comedy club, karaoke, dancing

    Looking at ocean view room

Your thoughts on these? Also would love some advice on rooms and how to book them with older kids. Son is 5"10" and 190lbs so adult sized :)

Thanks in advance for your time.

  6. Hi there and thank you for reading my post. I would like to know what cruise ships you think are best for these age children. Daugher 10 really into dance and crafts son 13 really into technology, gaming and swimming. We are over the singing dancing stuffed things.

I just want a relaxing vacation where I am pampered and don't have to cook/clean. We are looking at 5-7 nights and would prefer ports that aren't in Mexico leaving from US. Budget is important and husband wants at least a large window if not balcony.

    1. Which cruises have you been on with this age children and your thoughts?

    2. Is RC worth the extra $ over Carnival

    3. 5 or 7 nights? is 5 too short

    4. How much are drinks? Internet?

    5. Will there be places we can all dance together, listen to piano or music as this is something the whole family enjoys.

    6. Room advice 2 rooms? Son is 5"9 180

Any advice or information about your experiences would be appreciated.

    Thank you in advance,
