  1. Before I leave to go out of the country by plane or ship I make a copy of my passport page with all the information on it and give it to at least two people here in the US. Just in case I lose the passport or it gets stolen. I know that someone else has the information. I also put a copy in the safe.

  2. I would call NCL again, get the persons name and have her/NCL email you a confirmation that the vacation is paid in full. They should be able to do that much for you. You can print it out and take it with you when your time comes. I work in NYC and am pretty savvy to "bad neighborhoods" and people You just have to keep your guard up at all times, even on the ship. Happy sailing.

  3. I am new at cruising, taking my first cruise in May. I am also curious about when I can board. I am in a studio and my e-docs just say "Boarding begins at 12:00 pm Please do not arrive earlier than 1 hour prior to boarding time shown" I printed out my luggage tags and the word LIME is written on the tags. Do they board by your color? I am on the NCL Breakaway. Any help would be appreciated.

  4. Thank you very much for your menus. It helps a lot to know what to expect food wise. I am sailing in a few months and am in a solo cabin I booked Cagney's twice and the Brazilian place once. Can I bring an empty water bottle with me and fill it up with water while on board?

I am also excited since this is my first cruise.

One other question, where exactly is the pier in the city? I am coming from the Bronx and wonder if I could take the train into Manhattan and then catch a cross town bus or a taxi once I am in Manhattan?

  5. I will be traveling solo myself and this will be my first cruise. I am also going to Bermuda and booked two tours. I am in a solo cabin and understand that the solo cabins have their own lounge. The only thing that I am apprehensive about is getting to the pier the day of the cruise. I am really looking forward to it. I hope you go. From what I read you will have a great time.
