  1. Interesting

you did not have to move off or change cabins to get this deal ?

Nope, we didn't move off or change cabins. My DH thought maybe they wanted a certain number of bookings to be paid in full before the end of the year. Could have something to do with their end of the year finances or taxes? No doubt, it somehow benefited them, but it was an offer we didn't pass up.

  2. Yes, details please.

    Curious

Did you book direct with Oceania to get the rebate ??

I booked with my TA, but he couldn't offer up anything because we were already getting a discount on the booking. A month later he came back and told us if we pay in full within a week, Oceania was offering up the additional OBC and rebate.

We have received cash back from our TA, but it's always before the cruise, not after. This deal was from Oceania, not our TA. I'm thinking the cruise wasn't selling very well, they also offered up cabin upgrades for not much money.

  3. I've been looking at a cruise on Oceania..First time on this line.

I asked a few questions before and you all advised me to shop around and perhaps find a TA with a group. No luck so far, but I'm not done yet.:p

However, in going on the comparison site, I've received several quotes that are about the same as Oceania offers itself. I guess these TAs think I'm stupid.

There is one, however, that offers the Oceania perks, plus some OBC and then an amount of "cash back." What is this? I'm guessing it means they will send a check to us after the cruise is over? Is this right? I've never run across this before, it it normal with Oceania?

Oceania offered us a $700 rebate (upon completion of our cruise) and $200 OBC - in addition to OLife Choice.

  4. Hi Brenda - unfortunately cancelling tours is not available via our website. If you would like to send me an email with your reservation number and tour you wish to cancel, I'll look into why it is still appearing.

    Hello Mike,

I send you an email with the necessary information. I hope your email address is still: mmoore@oceaniaregent.com

Thanks for taking care of this,

    ~Brenda

  5. As stated above, if you let me know what exactly it is that you are experiencing, I'll be happy to help.

    Hi Mike,

I'm having a problem cancelling a booked tour. I receive 4 free tours with the O life. I booked a (free) tour, then wanted to cancel it. There is no option to cancel thru the website. So, I contacted them using email. I was told they cancelled the tour for me, but the tour is still showing it's active. If I try to book anything else to replace this (free) tour, they want me to pay. Could you please help me remove this tour from my account?

Also, why can't tours be cancelled from the website? Why must we have someone else handle this task?

    Thank you,

    Brenda

  6. I'm not even going to get into whether it's Sparkling wine or Campagne . But recently my wife ordered the champagne by the glass on Riviera . She drinks it often at home and can be a bit picky . But what she had on the ship was called champagne . It was French and billed at about $10 a glass and she liked it . Remember , at I think 5 PM it's 2 for one for an hour on I think all Oceana ships .

Is this something new??? I've never heard of a 2 for 1, happy hour on Oceania's ships. Can someone enlighten me?

  7. Our Blue Book last year said we were departing out of a dock area in Sidney that had been shut down for five years and the area now completely reconstructed with no docking of any large ships.

Are you kidding!?! That's no little mistake.
