Vt... I’m so happy for you! Please, enjoy every single moment of your cruise onboard Edge! It’s definitely a wonderful ship!
I will be sailing on the 29th... I had a question regarding drinks. Are they complimentary on this cruise? Or at a fee like usual. Sorry if this seems a bit of a stupid question 😂 but I just wanted to be sure!
Enjoy Le Petit Chef!

How cool it must be to attend such an event... especially with Malala as Godmother!
-
Thanks! I missed it when looking at my cruise info sheet, but you are correct - it lists the following 2 night cruises being covered by the info they gave me:
Nov 25, 27, 29 and Dec 4
I guess I missed it in all the excitement! :D
Yes it is very exciting! I will be on the 29th two-night :D not the very first cruise like you but close enough!
-
The schedule for initial cruises are as follows, as far as I can determine:
November 25-27 - very first cruise and it is for invited guests (likely execs, TAs, media, other invited guests)
November 27-29 - invited guests (execs, TAs, media, other invited guests and 500 cabins donated to United Way to sell)
November 29 - December 1 - ? if there is a cruise during this time
December 1-4 - first Preview Cruise for paying guests
December 4-6 - invited guests
December 6-9 - second Preview Cruise for paying guests
December 9 and December 16 - Maiden Voyage cruises
I think most know my saga of trying to be on the very first Edge cruise because of my Edge obsession. I had booked preview cruises for Nov 21 and 24 that were canceled and I moved them to the Dec 1 and 6 preview cruises. Then Dachshunds told us about the United Way cabins on the Nov 27 cruise and I booked that cruise and was very happy to be onboard even earlier.
Well, I'm very excited to say (though feel a little embarrassed to share this, but I have to tell people who will understand what a big deal this is), I got an invitation to the November 25th very first cruise (hopefully will remain first cruise) from LLP's office!! :D:cool:
I just can't believe it and am walking on air. I can bring a guest, so my DH is going too. I thought of telling him that only I could go and then invite one of you, who would explore the ship with me, taking pictures, measuring things, peeking in cabins, interviewing other guests about their cabins (and maybe bribing them with some VT Maple syrup to see their cabins ;)) and badgering staff and crew with questions, but that might be a deal breaker for my DH if he found out. :D
We will be assigned a cabin so have no idea what we will get. I think we will find out in October. I don't care what type we are assigned and where it is - I am ready for the adventure of it. The specialty dining is by invitation only so may not get to do any specialties for dinner, which is fine. It will be great to try the MDRs.
I won't speculate on here why I was invited, but have some ideas. I don't care why - I just know that LLP is my BFF today! :D Thank you for letting me share this exciting news!
To add to your already detailed post! November 29 - December 1 is in fact also an invited guest cruise!

Here is another exterior view of the ship with the updated livery

I believe that the staterooms will have curtains... The opaque turning window is for the sky suites bathroom (as they have a window looking into the room). I remember reading in the EDGE FAQs that the infinity rooms will have curtains.

All that's been revealed on deck 5 is the Eden area towards the aft of the ship... Not much else at the moment.

Wonder when the next reveal is coming..? Hope it covers dining and lounge areas apart from EDEN.
Also hoping to learn about dining at the next reveal.

Isn't it a bit early to start working on the smoke stack?
Anyway, Thank you for sharing !

We don't know yet or if they'll be one.
I remember reading/hearing that there will in fact be a mdr on Edge

So if Eden is going to take up 3 decks on the aft of the ship, where's the Main Dining Room going to be?
Also, if they want to make Eden a real success the Eden Cafe on deck 5 will serve Kummelweck Sandwiches for Lunch.
The main dining room will probably be about mid-ship as it is on the Solstice Class ships

So, what do you guys think?

Out of curiosity, where'd you find this?
While watching a webinar they showed it for a brief moment.
-
We had cabin #9309 and loved it since it was an extended balcony (I believe about 50% larger). It was also not to close to the top decks so we didn't hear any chair movement from the Sunset Bar above. Although it's a Concierge Class (C1) and not a Sunset veranda (SV), I think it's worth to take a look at! The views are amazing from the aft, especially if your going on a Mediterranean. As for coverage in this cabin, I would say your about 40% covered from the top since the aft of the ship is slanted. This particular cabin is also located in the middle area of the aft, which probably helps if your easily prone to motion sickness. Overall great cabin!

Found this while watching a webinar. They mentioned something about virtual games for teens in the evening and auctions and private events during the day when not used for tendering service.

Found a rendering of the Sunset Bar at the aft of the ship. Not much but thought I should share.

Thanks! Let me try.

I'm a little confused... The Aqua Class staterooms don't have a balcony section like on the regular verandas? The bottom image shows a clear seperation (with the French doors) of a balcony section, while the top one does not (the living space reaches all the way to the window). Can somebody clarify this for me ?
Thanks!

Hi,
Was curious to know if anyone had an idea when Celebrity Edge might have it's keel-laying ceremony. I know a cruise ships keel-laying usually happens a few months after it's steel cutting, so wanted to know when Edge's might be.
Thanks !

On board they are turning the deck chairs to face out in honor of the new ship. What in the heck is that supposed to mean?
That's odd... Are you talking about the lounge chairs on the sun decks onboard the ships?
