Mr. Rodriguez: There is no asterisk in your letter or on the certificate. But, when I turned the letter over, there IS an asterisk. And in very, very, very small type it says:

 

25% discount is only valid on Caribbean Voyages on any Riviera Caribbean cruise through December 31, 2017. 25% discount offer is only valid on Cruise-Only fares and does not include government fees & taxes, Olife Choice amenities or Airfare. This offer is not transferrable or combinable.

 

When I checked the O web site, there seem to be 14 sailings that qualify AND THEY ALL INCLUDE OLIFE AMENITIES. So, it looks like people have to make a choice: if they're interested in booking a very expensive suite they should take the 25% discount. If they're booking something less expensive, then they should take the OLIFE AMENITIES.

 

I'm sure there are many people who received your letter - but never turned it over to find out that this offer is not combinable.

 

For many of us, this "gesture of goodwill" has no value at all. Very sad.

 

(And, yes, we had already booked another Riviera Caribbean cruise two months ago.)

I apologize that the Terms and Conditions are misleading. The intention is that this offer is combinable with OLife Choice. Please check your invoice and make sure they are included. It is not an either or options.

Based on our telecon with Oceania yesterday, the Riviera discount certificate only applies to the 2016-17 season which ends next March. We were planning to use this certificate for a 10-day Riviera Caribbean cruise in December, 2017. Unfortunately, Oceania rep's reply yesterday was that cruise is beyond the eligibility time period.

Thanks for the message. I wrote the letter and the intention was to allow you to book any Riviera Caribbean cruise in the 2017 season. This includes November and December of 2017. I have contacted the call center to make sure everyone understands this information.
