Go to carnivalcorp.com look for investor relations>shareholder information>shareholder benefit. You should see a PDF telling you what information you need to provide and where to mail/fax your information.

You'll drive right past Spec's Wine & Spirits, Downtown Houston, on Smith Street. A three story liquor store, probably the largest in Texas. Great selection there. They have other stores in Houston and Galveston but none as comprehensive as the Smith St store.

You didn't say which airport you're flying into. If it's IAH you can have the taxi stop at the Houston downtown "Spec's Wine, Spirits, and Finer Foods", you will literally pass within blocks of it going to Galveston. If you fly into Hobby, Spec's (downtown Houston) is 11 miles in the opposite direction from Galveston.
It's the largest liquor store in Texas, I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better selection of wines in the Houston/Galveston area and they are very competitive on price.
Otherwise the stores mentioned by Galveston Cruiser will fit the bill nicely.

One of my favorite restaurants is within walking distance. It's the Gumbo Bar, if you like gumbo, give it a shot.

Very sad for the people of Istanbul! We visited last year and found a delightful city.

I'm sailing from Galveston this month and I'm staying at the Tremont House in Galveston, a very nice hotel. Easy walk to the pier and they can arrange parking with their sister property Hotel Galvez. I've also stayed in the Hampton Inn, Texas City. A reasonable place with clean rooms
