Sometimes, Yanks are so sloppy. I would only wear long pants - men or women. Being only 5 foot, 2, Capris come to my ankles. I buy them instead of slacks that I have to hem up, or, I buy petite slacks. Wearing loose, long clothes is actually cooler than to have your skin exposed to the elements. (I am an Esthethician, Scots-Irish, and try to hide from the sun.) I have had 2 surgeries on my nose for Basal Cell Carcinoma and I will have my SPF hat and umbrella in Israel & Egypt.

BTW, no matter the number on your bottle of SPF, you must reapply it every 2 hours because it gets absorbed, as well as sweated off.

I also have 2 Jilabs that my Sister bought me. Long, loose dresses with long sleeves. I will wear them on the ship as well as on the shorex to keep cool. Great thread. Thanks for all the tips.

I wrote an e-mail to the Mena Oberoi Hotel Manager and asked to be e-mailed or snail-mailed the menus. Never got a reply. Then, I asked George. Usually, George is very prompt at replying; haven't heard from him either. There are 12 of us in our Ramses Group.

You would think that businessmen would be interested in selling their restaurants to a group of Americans, Canadians, & Ozzies. Also, it is strange that a 5-Star hotel does not have menus on their website.

Does anybody have any menus from Mena Oberoi Hotel restaurants? Thanks in advance.

Barbara, As Gixer has not replied to your question yet I looked at the Penguin Lady video in question and I think that since I recently visited that I can answer your question. Yes, it could happen. Often? I would think not. Most people would not be willing to stretch out on the ground like that in that mess. But, this woman did and a young penguin walked over her legs. Totally believable from my experience at Sparrow Cove, but probably not a daily occurence. Debbie

Hi, Not anymore. Commissions are paid on basic cruise fare and that alone !!

Air-sea components used to be commissionalbe, no longer. IMO

Princess (as well as others) pays commission on cruise, hotels, and insurance. They do not pay commission on airfare nor on transfers.

 

The Princess Insurance covers you from the time you walk out your door at your house until you walk back in - IF you have purchased your Air through the cruiseline.

I ONLY buy cruiseline air with a deviation. I want to pick my own flights.
