  1. I just made the first draft of my welcome letter for my cruise wedding guests. I am attaching it here to show, I have also had custom magnets made to be put on all of our guests doors so we know where the party people are!

  2. My recommendation is the same.. I'm getting married in port in key west (we are also cruising on the Victory).. yes you can still do

That if you did a group booking through carnival.

I also recommend getting married in port. I am sailing on the Carnival Victory in May 2018, we have 98 people booked for the cruise and are getting married in Cozumel Mexico. (we are signing the papers before sailing, so technically it will just be a symbolic ceremony and reception) But we have booked the wedding through Nachi-Cocom beach club and it is all so easy and affordable! I highly suggest you look into it!

  3. I was planning on a carnival cruise wedding until I saw the pricing went up (I see they changed the packages again but oh well) so instead we will be getting married in the morning with a brief 2 hour reception afterwards and then us and our families will go on a four day cruise. I was planning on wearing my dress all day but my mom thinks I should change after the reception to maybe a white dress to wear for boarding the ship and the rest of the day. Did anyone get married off board and still wear their dress? Or did anyone wear their dress all day in general? Thanks

I am getting married in Cozumel Mexico while in port, on the Carnival Victory. I Have my hair and makeup apt at 12, wedding starts at 4:30. I plan on wearing my dress from 1pm to 3 am lol. We are all meeting up back on the ship after the wedding and I plan to wear my dress and veil the whole time. You only get to wear it once so wear it as long as you'd like!

  4. Congrats! I chose Nachi Cocom too!!! If you remember let me know how it goes. I've had a pleasant experience this far. Your wedding website is too cute

Wen are you getting married? Its all going great so far with them, they let me customize the menu to add tacos! We are also opting to have the fire dancers during the reception.

The wedding is three months out, we now have over 90 people booked for the cruise! Its going to be a blast and Nacho Cocom has been so flexible with our growing party. I will keep you updated!

  5. Good Afternoon fellow 2018 Cruise Brides!

My Fiancé and I just got engaged last week on May 2nd and I already have the 30 rooms held on the Carnival Victory cruising to Cozumel Mexico May 7-11 2018! We have already had 12 people book before the save the dates have even gone out! We plan on having a symbolic ceremony in Cozumel Mexico at Nachi Cocom Beach Club and getting legally married before we depart. I have attached a picture of our Save the Dates for anyone to see. Ive also attached the link to our wedding website (its not completely done, but I'm only a week into the engagement so I think its pretty good so far lol). Save the dates are being sent out tomorrow. I also have already bought by bridesmaid dresses and shoes and will add pictures if anyone would like to see those just let me know!

Some more details about my wedding planning so far: My fiancé decided that it would be cool for us to do our bridesmaid and groomsmen proposals with a Mexico theme. Therefore we have bought a bunch of mini sombreros, mustaches, nd flower clips that we are sending to the potential wedding party along with mini bottles of Jose Cuervo and a lime. Along with the items an instruction letter will be attached. In that letter the wedding party will be instructed to take a picture of them wearing the items listed above and taking the shot and send that picture to us to accept being apart of the wedding party. We will then take the pictures and create a poster to be displayed at the wedding with description of who each person is and how they know the bride and groom.

For Nachi Cocon, we are having a symbolic ceremony. We will be having the Mexican buffet dinner option (because how do you get married in Mexico and NOT eat Mexican food). One of our family friends will be coming on the cruise to celebrate with us and she and her daughter will be doing our photography. we are also getting the additional extras of the Mariachi Band to play during cocktail hour and the fire dancers!

We decided to invite anyone and everyone to our wedding as to not hurt any feelings. We planned on only about 50 people coming but after having 12 people book before save the dates even went out, I'm guessing we will have much more! Which I am thrilled about!

I would like to put welcome bags together for all of our guests coming on the cruise, so any ideas are welcomed!

  7. I've seen a few posts about this topic on other cruise line boards and was wondering what everyone's favorite food or beverage item on NCL menus are? The more specific the better. I've been told that the buffet has some one the best cinnamon rolls ever and that the rebellious fish is a must try, but what other foods or drinks are not to be missed?

Thank you in advance for any replies!

  8. Thank you to everyone that has replied to this thread, I appreciate you all taking the time to respond and have loved reading your responses.

I have a rain jacket and some more winter gear ready for the cruise , thinking that I might need to bring some shorts and tank tops as well if it's in the 80-90s in port!

  9. Sailing with NCL on my very first cruise ever. We are heading to Alaska from Seattle on the 7 day cruise the second week in August. Has anyone cruised to Alaska before in August and if so what should we expect to pack in terms of warm clothing or shorts and t-shirts. I'm from Florida, and have only ever seen snow once so I'm not quite sure what to expect!

Any tips anyone has will be greatly appreciated. Along with any meal recommendations from the cruise!

I've seen posts about freestyle daily, does anyone have a picture example of what their freestyle daily looked like? What kind of deals they were running?

Thank you all very much! Only 83 days until my first ever cruise!
