We are booked on Brilliance out of Amsterdam in August 2020. Any input on where to stay that's close to things to do and not far from the port?
-
WOW, this place looks great! Is it far from the port?

Hello all,
My husband and I are looking for a clean, safe, and close to the port airbnb. Will need it for 4 nights. First time to Portugal and would like to be able to walk around the area.
Any help would be great.
Thanks,
Deb & Ron aka DDnRD

14 days till oasis......but who's counting???
-
I'm sorry if this has been asked before. We are heading out Monday on the Brilliance out of Tampa. We have done this cruise many other times, but my question is has anyone ever used one of the other parking areas? The main parking garage is $15.00 a day but did see others as low as $4.00 a day!
The more I can save on parking the more I can spend on the ship!
Thanks for any help......happy sailing

Keep in mind these are photos of you.....if you don't like they way they are having you pose, tell them. We no longer do the same old stand here, hand here. Have fun with it....

We took our niece (19) and nephew (17) a few years ago. They wouldn't even let my nephew off the ship without one of us.
-
Do they still do booklets? Diamond is on your Seapass card, sheet of paper with what you get is in your room.:o
-
We took our niece & nephew, then 19 & 17, once we got on the ship, we just had them change our room cards. Them in one room and us in the other.

168 more days until a 5 day on Brilliance.....this will make us D+ for our next one in 230 days!
-
Did not know the 48 other people, group was put together to travel on the bus together.
-
Yes we did the status match before hand. Told we were all set. As for booking Yacht Club next time......there will be no next time!
-
Yes, but would have been happy to pay more and enjoy ourselves.

Just got off on Saturday....NEVER again!!

My husband and I were on this cruise as well with 48 other people and never heard one good thing. From the time we got our key cards it was down hill from there.
As all other ships, before you board they want you to take a picture, after many cruises, we no longer need or want these. The gentleman (and I'm being nice to use that term) tried to get us to take a picture, I said "No thanks" he said come on...again "No thanks to which he said "You have to" again, "No thanks, at that time he placed his hand on my shoulder, he removed it very quickly when I told him he didn't want to do that.
Agree about having to swipe your own CC, this is crazy.....why not take the extra 2 minutes when the do your room key to do that?
We are D members on another line, and they were suppose to match that. Never got one thing. We went down to ask about it, and they said it would take 2 months for that to take affect. That's not going to happen......they had all my info since the beginning of the year.
The dining room was horrible. Agree with the first post, it is so tight and a bad layout. Food was uneatable on most nights. Chicken was hard as a rock, steak paper thin and nothing had flavor. We never were offered anything to drink, and when we asked for something we would wait a half hour or more. They would serve 3 out of 4 of us our meal and then the last person would get theirs when we were all done. Would order desert and coffee and some nights I thought they were roasting the beans!!!! We would be getting ready to leave when we got it.
We attempted to make a reservation at any of the pay for restaurants, and have never been spoken to so rudely before. Told that they had nothing available anywhere anytime for the rest of the cruise. This was the 2nd day.
The best one was I needed to mail a post card, I already had a stamp on it, no mail box around. Sent to photo, that was closed, customer service said, Oh well, don't know what to tell you. Went back to photo and the charged me $3.00 to mail it! WTH??? Never have I heard of that.
I could go on, but I feel my blood pressure going up. Feel free to ask questions, will do my best to answer.

We will be doing our first MSC cruise in April. Just wonder what is included? Will it be like other big lines? Do they nickel and dime you for everything? Please forgive me if this has been posted some where, just point me in the right direction.....

Just off Equinox, and the pillows were horrible. We asked for something firmer and got 2 down pillows in one pillow case......not good when you have allergies! I ended up using the toss pillows from the couch.

Thanks for the review. Will be on board in a week, this is our 3rd time on Adventure. Getting closer to D+.

We did Brilliance 2/14 again 10/14 Boston to Tampa and will be cruising again 2/2015. Never a problem, staff was great, food was good, Spa was just so so, but all in all it's a great ship.

I'll be taking my neice & nephew (19 &17) on the Brilliance next week. I know I saw somewhere on here what I need to have to bring my nephew with me. Ofcourse now, can not find them. Can someone out there help me....PLEASE??
I just want to make sure I have all my bases covered. Last thing we need is to get stuck at the port.
Thanks everyone!!

Radiance of the Sea
Sept. 23 - Oct. 11
Was not available. Also no lobster.
-
We just did a 17 day cruise and NO lobster any night, and we had 3 formal nights. I am not going to pay $40.00 extra, when the price of lobster has dropped way down. Got 2 more cruises booked, Feb. & Oct. and I hope to see it then.:o

When you do your Set Sail Pass it gives you the option if you want to use cash. We have no balance on our cards, so I like to keep it that way and use cash. We don't drink, so that saves ALOT of money.

Does anyone know if you can block charges on your seapass from the Casino? One person in our party has a problem, and can't think of another way to control spending.
