Overall it was a phenomenal voyage experience - I am still mentally processing some of the unique things I saw!
Every day was a new island/place/village/snorkel stop/wildlife. Felt very safe the whole time we were in PNG and the Heritage staff and crew aboard were friendly and made sure we enjoyed our experience... food onboard was excellent and ship air con gratefully received in between landings.
There were only 26 of us passengers on the expedition so it was easy to get lots of time ashore in villages with locals. Loved the traditional welcomes from each village and was moved to tears a couple of times by how the locals live and how genuinely welcoming they were. The snorkelling was the best I have experienced anywhere and was no need to dive to see the good stuff.
