  1. Me and my husband sailed on the Splendor from Dec. 10-18....we had a BLAST. Food was great (believe the hype about Tandoor...I ate there almost every day for lunch!) All of the staff were so nice and there was ALWAYS someone cleaning something throughout the day. The ship is very clean. We did YTD and never had to wait...we were in and out of the dining room in an hour every time. MarQ was our cruise director and I enjoyed him....some other people on the ship did not. At one Dive-In Movie they paused the movie for an announcement he gave and one woman said, "Oh my gosh shut up! He is SO annoying!" (Very rude but it did make me laugh...I can't even lie LOL) We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and are planning to take another cruise on the Splendor. Also, yes the ship is pink. I'm a girly girl so I didn't mind it but I still did not find it to be tacky/over the top. You're not there to stare at the walls, you're there to have a good time! You will have a great trip! :)

  2. Hello all! This is my first post. I'll start by saying I absolutely love this forum! Such a great place for cruise lovers to come together :) My husband and I will be aboard the Carnival Splender on December 10-18, 2016 leaving out of Miami! What are your opinions on the best time to check in and board? Should we aim for the first available check in time? Or go later in the day? I'd love to hear all opinions/experiences with staggered check ins.
