I cruised on Liberty of the Seas two summers ago and paid $199 onboard for a week of that "slow speed old school Internet". I don't know how we would have survived without it. I shared it with my two millennial sons, so we just took turns using it when on the ship. Thank God that T-Mobile worked for free pretty much all over Europe; we just needed Internet when we were at sea.

Meanwhile, I pre-paid about $70 for a week of Voom on Adventure of the Seas, sailing the Caribbean in July of this year, hoping that works out well.

My wife and I were in Charlotte Amalie last summer and also found many shops and restaurants closed during the day. And of the ones that were open, many closed down for the day at 3 PM. We were told that some stores only open when a ship is in port.
