  1. How big are the day beds… wondering how many folks fit on them… we are a party of 5 and only one is left on the day we will be there (#11 by the pool)… so wondering if we should get it, but don’t want to have room for 2 and then 3 folks sit out by the beach

  2. Thanks all.  Was told they didn’t have any upgrades available. Found it strange with only sailing at 67% capacity. I’m also a gold member, so was again surprised. I’ll try again on second day.

this was a last minute trip booked within 1 week of sailing, so was limited on booking.
We enjoy the balcony, but was hoping for a little more room.

  3. We are sailing today on the Seashore and I went by guest services and put in a request for an upgrade from Balcony to Suite. While checking in, we were told the ship was only going to sail with 4,000 people. So figured I’d give it a chance and see. I was informed that they would need to wait until sailing time to let me know if I got the upgrade.

I am paying for the upgrade, but the cost is reduced compared to what it would be if I paid for it at booking. Guest services said the request was for a deluxe suite with a SL2 code, but can’t find that cabin code anywhere online. Just don’t want to get a junior suite. Not worth the upgrade in my opinion.

Anyway, was wondering, has anyone ever tried to upgrade after getting onboard and been successful. If so, did you get all of the perks associated with the upgrade or did they only give you the perks from your original booking.

That does sound a nightmare! I think I had difficulty submitting the form too from memory, but not sure if I changed anything or if it just worked in the end. 🤞 you get something sorted

I see the site is finally back up and so I submitted.  What's funny is that I am going to use my Hilton Honors to match because they seem to match higher to Hilton.  I'm Gold with Hilton, but have Titanium Elite, which requires even more nights than Hilton's Diamond Status, but according to their match table, they will only give Silver for Marriott Titanium and Gold for Hilton Gold.  If only they matched airlines, then I would be top of the tiers....

Could you email them to ask for an offline copy, or a link that works? From the UK I've found that I do get a response over email, but sometime it just takes a week to ten days

I leave on the Seashore in just a couple of days and I also have been unable to get a status match.  I have been informed by their customer service that their status match site is down and they have been working to fix the issues.  I emailed the Voyager and Customer service folks and provided all of the info required, but they told me they cannot process over email and I must complete the form on their site. However, until they fix the site, you cannot get to their form.  I have tried to submit on several of their international sites and I can see the form and fill it out, but cannot submit it.

  6. So we completed our cruise last week. The beach at Dickenson Bay was great. We stopped at Tony's and found that they only had jet skis out. They told us that they were in non-peak season, so everything else would not be available. That was kind of disappointing. For those going in October, you should be good for everything else. Found the chairs to be a little expensive.....$20 for 2 chairs and an umbrella and they charged us $4 for every device we wanted to hook up to wifi....there were 5 of us and we got 4 chairs and 4 devices hooked up to wifi......the water was great, Jetskis were fun, but if I am being honest, they are not in the best shape and did not feel as safe on them as I have at other locations. The bar took credit cards, but the restaurant did not and they would not let you add food to your bar tab....so if you go, make sure to take cash

  7. Hi All....We are a family of 5 with 3 teenagers.....We will be in Antigua (first time in Antigua) this July, coming in on Freedom of the Seas......Last year, when we went to Cancun, the kids enjoyed several water activities, like Jet skis, Parasailing, Scuba Diving, Snorkeling, etc and they would really like to do these activities again, as Antigua will be our only significant beach stop on this cruise.....

I was looking at Dikenson Bay or Jolly Beach as options. On Dickerson, I can see Tony's Watersport is there, but reading through the threads, it seems like Jolly has more restaurants and shopping in the area that we can hit up before heading back to the ship......Can anyone please let me know if Jolly has a location or vendors that have these activities. I know there is a dive shop on Jolly, but we really aren't looking to dive on this stop.

Even if Jolly does have these activities, which of the 2 beaches is best for them or are there other options that I am missing.

  8. I've done the race before. As it's a ship excursion, they'll get everyone together at the pier and then take you to the boat you'll be assigned to.

On return, the boat brings you back to Bobby's Marina. It's a short walk to the cruise pier to grab a taxi. IMO, you could head for a beach on the east side like Dawn Beach (good snorkeling), but you really wouldn't have a lot of time there, maybe a couple of hours. It's a 10 minute taxi to Little Divi Beach on the other side of Great Bay, you might have a 1/2 hour longer there. Either place you'll need to leave before 4P to make it back to the ship by 4:30, the usual 1/2 hour before departure they ask you to be back.

You could just turn left out of the marina and head to the boardwalk in Phillipsburg where there are lots of places to eat and grab a chair/lounger for some sun and a swim. Not the place for any water sports or snorkeling though.

If you and your family are sail boaters, have raced before, watched the Cup races on TV, or just enjoy being on the water, you'll thoroughly enjoy the excursion.

Thanks for the info - please let me clarify that excursion we are doing is not the yacht racing, but their version of the Amazing Race.

  9. Hello - We are a family of 5 with twin 15 year old daughters and a 12 year old son. We are taking our first cruise this summer on the Oasis of the Seas and stopping at St. Maarten from 8-5 in August

We were interested in doing the Adventrue St. Maarten - The Race excursion offered through TriSports. The race starts at 9:30 and is supposed to be 3 hours long. Initially we thought about just getting lunch and some strolling and shopping afterwards, but now are wondering if we could get a visit to the beach in instead.

I believe the race starts at Bobby's Marina in Phillipsburg, but not sure where it would end and how close it would be to one of the good beaches.

Assuming we wrap up the race by 1PM the latest, would we be able to make it to a decent beach for a bit and then back to the cruise ship in time.

Obvisouly, if anyone has done this race before, please provide some feedback and your thoughts on the race and where it ends.

Thank you all for your time and responses, it is greatly appreciated
