we had an 8:30am flight in feb coming off the odyssey....self-disembarked and was sitting at the gate at 7:30....

in port everglades,  we've found it easier to get a porter to help with your bags...he will help you get a taxi and the airport is literally just a few minutes away....much quicker and easier than dealing with an uber....that being said, we always grab an uber when going to the port on embarkation day

 

hello....will be booking on odyssey for feb '23 cruise...have a question re: booking deck 13...can anyone tell me if there is much or any noise coming from deck 14 and higher when inside the cabin on deck 13....i assume that when one is on the balcony there is noise which is fine but wanted to know if anyone had any experience with noise inside the cabin with the balcony door closed...thanks

just did self disembarking on harmony in nov....you'll get off on deck 5 in the promenade and could be as early as 6:30 depending on when they clear the ship....you'll have no trouble getting to the airport by 9:00

thanks for the info on the hibachi being open on sea days for lunch....would like to take  our grandkids on harmony in nov...

question re: hibachi...you mentioned hibachi for lunch two days...do you mean the regular Izumi?  I was led to believe the hibach section was only open for dinner?

when i try to do it, I get a reply stating that these reservations may not be combined..please make a separate reservation for each party.....do they have to be linked?

Does that work if the reservations are through different travel agents?

Sailing on the harmony during Thanksgiving week...my family is curious as to if the ship would be decorated for Christmas...was wondering from those who have sailed that week in the past what they have experienced....

how do you link reservations that were made through different travel agents?

is there a way to use the wow bands in the casino....normally one just puts your seapass card into the machine but wasn't aware if one could scan the wow band into the machine

Did anyone watch the movie that was filmed on the Harmony last night on Hallmark?If so what did you think.

Yes...had me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out the order of port stops....they went back to the same islands time and again...labadee 2or3 times... St Thomas 2or3 times, etc.... cruise director finds all that time for romance...quite comical

got a question about good hope.....we are arriving in falmouth on harmony....can I arrange private transport to good hope and then have access to the resort amenities including the zipline? not sure how this works....

I am not a fan of the hotel shuttles.....we have done taxis but last feb we got an uber...cheaper than a taxi and worked great....

I second the port everglades recommendation....just so easy from a logistics standpoint.....

Great review! Can I ask how much did it cost for the beach bungalow and how many people are allowed per bungalow?

My only suggestion is to stay away from Deck 7; the reason being is there is no way to get from one side to the other by the aft elevators...there is a boardwalk sign that blocks the crossway, therefore, when heading to deck 7 from another deck, you have to be sure to get on the correct side or you will have to go up or down one deck to crossover when you reach deck 7...found that out the hard way

happy new year to all.....have a question regarding upgrading although i think i know the answer....have a junior suite booked for upcoming freedom cruise on 2/3...there is now a W guarantee listed for several hundred dollars per person less than the junior suite....since i am inside the final payment, am i correct that we cannot upgrade to a suite for less money? that has been my understanding but i cannot call my travel agent today so i thought i would ask here....thank you

sailing feb 3 on the 8-night itinerary....would appreciate seeing the MDR menu order so we can plan our speciality restaurant nights...thanks

on jewel a couple weeks ago we could not....however, one night i forgot to bring my drinks to the MDR and told the assistant waiter i would be right back.....he told me that he normally could not do it but would go to the bar for me and get them that night since he wanted to "take special care" of me....i made sure to remember them the rest of the cruise.....

DW and I are sailing with son and his wife...booked separately and through different TA's....we would each like to buy the BOGO package and be seated together....i understand that i cannot link the reservations through royal's website unless we call the respective TAs first....my question is...can we each buy the package and then show up on embarkation day and arrange the seating at that time??
