  1. My wife is allergic to gluten, dairy, and egg. We were on the Explorer last October, and they took great care of her. The special food prep was fantastic. One example: without asking, the kitchen even spent a day or two working on bread for her to eat, then they made it every day for her to have at dinner, regardless of the restaurant we went to, there it was.

They did ask her to pre-select meals the night before, but they took care of her even when we forgot to turn it in.

Regent knocked it out of the park. Let me know if you have any specific questions, would be happy to ask her.

  2. Yes - you start by logging onto your Regent account which also shows the date you can book excursions and dining reservations. So, using this Friday as an example, if the website says that you can book February 2nd, this means 12:01 a.m. February 2nd (which would be 9:01 p.m. PST, etc.) You would be surprised at how many people make sure they can book as soon as it becomes available.

Normansmom, you mentioned that you will be doing the cruise in August. In my opinion, May and mid-late August have the least amount of people traveling to Alaska since school is still in session in May and in August kids and parents are getting ready for school again. It may not be as crowded (but no guarantees).

    Thank you very much!

  3. Hi! My fiancée and I are beginning to think about our honeymoon and we are considering the Mediterranean on the Regent Explorer in 2017. I have been on several Silversea and Seabourn trips with my parents and brothers, but never with my fiancée/traveling as a couple.

I know every voyage is different, but could someone please elaborate on the typical, expected social environment on board? Any forum members happen to honeymoon onboard a Regent ship? Any remember meeting couples on their honeymoon while on board? Were they having fun?

Thanks in advance for your time, I appreciate any and all input.
