  1. So for those of you who thought there wouldn't be any big changes, there are! Look at the pictures I have posted here for you. Enjoy. There is alot that can be done in 2 weeks when everything is planned and construction is in place as soon as the ship docks. Here you go....:D

Gee, these photos look very familiar! Did you ask for permission to take them?

  2. We just returned from the Gem today. We had Zahed as our butler and Ryan as the concierge. We think it was unfair for all the unfavorable comments about Ryan. He was there at the beginning. He was available each morning at the Star bar. Even though we made our own reservations, he would ask how our dinner was there. He knew where we had eaten. He knew our names on the second day. He asked to be of more help to us. We told him just knowing he was there was help enough. Our butler also was helpful but we didn't use his services. We told Ryan we would be very happy to cruise with him again.

Happy to hear this. We have also enjoyed him very much!

  3. I like the "tunnel balconies on the Breakaway, especially for us sailing in November. We'll get full use of the balcony from any chilly weather, wind and rain, as well as hot sun. If we want to be more in the sun, just move closer to the rail. I think having the "tunnel" balconies give you the best of both worlds. Where else can you sit on a lounge chair in inclement weather and still be outside the ship? Works for us, happy with our B1 deck 12 decision.

I was thinking that also! If it gets to be too much sun we can just slide back and get a little shade!:)
