We tried to exchange a wine gift from our TA for something like a few bottles of water or soda and they wouldn’t let us. So we gave the gift certificate to another person. FYI, I was charged the overage. I didn’t mind as we wanted to treat their table.

Bluff Cove can only be booked ethrough Princess. They do not book independent tours. I booked it early and it cost $199 when I booked it. I saw the price rise to $219. It was sold out way before the cruise date.
Thank you.

Did you do a Princess tour or a private company?

Does the Coral library also carry games like Rummicube/backgammon/monopoly/checkers etc..like the library on Royal class ships?
I’m planning to bring some games to donate on my Antarctica cruise a little over a year from now. Hoping to find some game players in our Cruise Critic group. Thinking of Rummikub, Mexican Train dominoes (found a travel set, but it’s still pretty heavy), Triominos, Sequence. —Joan

I am so excited to see your thread. I’m doing the same one in January’21 with a good friend. Looking forward to your posts. I will be platinum, so will wait to get internet til I’m on board. Have a great cruise!

Good thing you’re flying out of Oakland. SFO is a mess! We leave for Barcelona next Tuesday and there’s a good chance we won’t make our connection in Charlotte. I get stressed as it is about big trips. Now we have this to worry about. Not too worried about making the ship as we’re going two nights early.

Thank you. I will probably be there every morning to get coffee for DW - either to take back to the cabin or to take with us to the omelet station in the buffet - maybe both.
Coffee and Cones on the Grand didn’t have brewed, just fancy coffees. 😕
That’s been awhile, hopefully it’s changed.

Do you have to use an escalator when departing the ship with your luggage like in Ft. Lauderdale ?
No, there is an elevator available.

I bought a small nice purse that I wear crossbody. I like to carry phone, chapstick, Kleenex, lipstick, comb along with cruise card. I don’t always have pockets.

We have the golden tether to Princess, free laundry.
Any word on a future sewing/quilting cruise?
Not yet, but I heard she may do another one. I’m on her Mediterranean cruise next fall (just a group cruise, no quilting), so I should hear right away when she plans a quilting cruise.

MUTS, chicken pot pie(at dinner), friendly staff, and Voice of the Ocean was really fun. Oh, and I’m a huge fan of the pizza up by a pool.

Another fan here! Looking forward to your travels this winter. Have a safe, healthy and really great trip!

MUTS. Food: having breakfast in Horizon Court, the chicken pot pie, pizza by the slice up by the pool.

Sadly... I am technically one half owner of two long arms, some half dozen “regular”, four or five antique and two portable machines. Threats have been made that the time for me to carry one of the portables on a ship. I am holding out as long as possible.
Hey, I’ve noticed your posts all over the Princess board. Thank you for the humor! This board gets a little too serious at times. You always make me laugh. Have you asked if you can bring a sewing machine by any chance? I would love to do that if I took a cruise by myself some day. I have a compact machine that fits in a carryon piece of luggage.

I here you, but going back to the original premise, this is to get me on a Caribbean cruise. I have never been to any of the ports except Aruba for a Canal cruise.
Mr. Rabbit, why not try a different cruise line? I have been on two of Terry’s quilting cruises and they were a blast. We had classes during at sea days in Botticelli until 3 pm. Something really cool about sewing with the ocean gliding by out the window. Teachers were great. She had special permission to have a small iron in each teachers area. Ship engineers checked out our setup on the first day to make sure everything was plugged in safely. We had maybe 50 quilters. If you search CruiseTipsTV Alaska cruise Day 10 on YouTube, they videoed during our open house last summer. Btw, I didn’t pay more for my cabin than normal, other than the fee that covered having teachers. When prices dropped on our Mexico cruise, Terry got me the lower rate. She arranged excursions thru Princess that were only open to our group, they included a stop at a quilt shop.

I thought the shower gel was just fine used with a pouf.

I have been on numerous missions trips to Baja and wouldn’t trust the water anywhere. Bottled water or sodas only, no ice. Not worth the risk.

just to belabor the point... You can strip on a princess branded ship in your stateroom, but i since i don’t know what a power strip means, i’m thinking you shouldn’t do it while on a ship.

I get motion sickness easily. I buy meclizine at Costco, very good price. Also get ginger capsules, any drugstore. I start taking meclizine the morning of my cruise, then every morning on the cruise. If seas are a little rough, I’ll take a ginger capsule as well. This works good for me.

I bought fountain diet cokes from the bars near the pools. Got a nice big plastic tumbler for under $2. This was last August on the Grand. I don’t like canned soda as much as fountain soda. So I was a happy camper. 😀

My friends took their 12 yr old grandkids on the Hawaii cruise out of SF earlier this year. First cruise for both kids and they absolutely loved it. They couldn’t fit everything in they wanted to do during at sea days and the crew learned their names and gave them special attention. They didn’t go to the kids club much.
Margarine available?

Are you sure he can’t have real butter? One of my friends is lactose intolerant but she said butter is ok because it’s just fat.
