  1. My wife and I will be going on this trip w/Oceania on the 19th of Dec. We are from Florida as well

We are hoping to book some excursions ASAP We have several lined up but are looking to add to the list.

We have most booked with Oceania, wanting to do private tour in the 20th as we were in Buenos Aires last December and have a few places we missed last year. Still looking for something on the 5th. We are using O's air and the flight out is at 10:30 pm back through Houston to Tampa, so will have that full day after disembarking.

  2. An excursion for Port Stanley (Bluff Cove Lagoon) in December on the Marina was paid for and I received a confirmation showing it to be confirmed. This was on June 26th. I looked today and now it shows booked and then under status shows wait listed. Does this mean that I am now wait listed or that the tour status is now wait listed and I am still confirmed. I apologize in advance if this has been discussed elsewhere.

  3. sorry, this was probably covered before. But how do you know if there is a large group on your ship ?

We are booked on Zuiderdam - Jan 15 - Panama cruise.

the roll call is only 2 people and now you have me worried that maybe this is why.

    thanks

Google "Theme Cruise Finder". Select browse all categories. Looks like another ship (Koningsdam) is booked with a religious group on January 15.

  4. By then:

    1) the air credit may not be what it is right now(if you decide to book your own air)

    2) your choices for good flights/times may be very limited.

Are you happy with flying in the day the cruise departs? I don't know what time of year your cruise is, or where you are flying from, but even in good weather times of year, we always fly in before embarkation day.

Why not fly in a day or two before, and see BA as well...I hear it is wonderful!

Flying from Tampa, ideally one connection through Miami. The cruise departs the day after embarkation, so not so worried about delayed flights. Most all flights are overnight, probably through Miami or Atlanta. Was in Buenos Aires last December, so having a day and a half to explore some areas I didn't visit last year is fine.. Cruise embarks Dec. 19 sails on the 20th.

  5. I am on the preceding Buenos Aires to Valparaiso . My TA said that the schedule would be available at 75 days out. At that time I could pay the deviation fee (and any surcharges) and submit requests before they are ticketed at 60 days if I was not happy. If they were satisfactory then allow Oceania to ticket as usual. If I wanted to know before 75 days or if wanting extra days I should pay the fee now. Is she correct in this?

  6. If you have the option of taking the OBC check and see if it might work better to take that and then your cabin mate can just buy the drink package, and you can spend your half on whatever. Sometimes the math will work out better that way. It appears you wouldn't get any benefit for yourself if you choose the drink package as a perk.

My TA was able to get the cruise changed to the Olife Ultimate - from the originally booked choice -Marina December 19th. I will have all the amenities plus the AX OBC in addition. Since only one is a "spirit" drinker, it is nice knowing he can upgrade his package and it is not dependent upon me doing the same. Thanks for the information. I am new to these forums and finding so much information. Everyone is so helpful.

  7. Olife benefits must be chosen in Tandem, but the upgrade from the Select Package to the Prestige Package may be purchased by just one.

Thank you, that must have been what the TA meant - Olife choices must be the same.

  8. Yes, but it's not just a "spirits" thing; the Select Package only applies during Luncheon or Dinner. Any other social drinking would not be covered.

I mentioned the beverage upgrade to my cabin mate and he said TA instructed that both of us had to upgrade the package. I am not a drinker and never ending tea and soda is all I need, it makes no sense for me. However, It would definitely benefit him (big martini drinker). Does anyone know definitively the answer?
