It helps that the maitre d’s podium is outside the entrance rather than behind a door that’s only open to full suite guests.

 

Make a beeline there as soon as you board if you want a reservation on the first night. Thereafter they should let you book for the next night while you’re there dining.

A while back we booked an OV guarantee, and were assigned an accessible room right before our sailing. When we checked in at the pier, we let them know we did not need it if someone else did. They said they would make note of this information, but we never heard back from anyone so we stayed in the cabin.

My heart dropped when I read the Subject of this thread.  Very sad news.  Our hearts go out to his family.

Are these rooms cheaper than a junior suite? If so then how to they get suite benefits and the junior doesn't.

On our sailing on Freedom in March, these suites cost more than a junior suite.

I read that getting multiple drinks at once is not permitted. Are they super strict with this? I was thinking it would be nice at CocoCay to get a couple at once and pour them into my Yeti bottle.

 

What about getting an alcoholic drink and a bottle of water at the same time?

We have always been able to get bottled water and a drink with the deluxe beverage package, but have not gotten two drinks at the same time.

My husband has asked for a double shot in the past, and they served it. So maybe try that and then order the mixer as a separate drink (double shot of Jack Daniels and a coke on the side). Just a thought.

We sailed out of Barcelona twice, and were very happy that we booked two nights pre-cruise to enjoy this beautiful city.

The last time we stayed at the Hotel Jazz, which was a reasonably-priced hotel in a nice location.

So happy that you are enjoying your Star Class experience. We sailed on Ovation in Star Class, and were amazed by the experience.

It would be fantastic to sail in that class again real soon [emoji120] (hope the hubby is reading this - lol).
