  1. I believe we were on the same Anthem cruise as OP pjinaz as I may have spoken to you at our post cruise stay in New York.  We are long time sailers with RCCL and this is the first time we had issues with our cabin and the lackluster response from Guest Services and RCCL corporate.

We had cabin 6680 on the starboard side which is directly above the smoking atrium.  Nothing on cruise ship plans about smoking area.  Make long story short unable to use balcony or open balcony door due to smoke.  RCCL corporate answer offer $75 total cabin credit which we denied.  Guest services managers said it was corporate's decision and they could not do anything.  Manager blames ship design.  Working with TA( big warehouse TA)  to try to resolve issue still no resolution.  Still waiting.

I hope OP gets her issues with RCCL resolved.  As for us may start looking at other cruise lines.

  2. Ship - Anthem of The Seas

    Deck - 6

    Stateroom # - 680

    Stateroom Category –7D I think

    Starboard or Port Side -Starboard

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Inside stateroom was quiet.  Balcony was not, you can hear the conversations from the smoking atrium.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? -No

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Looks down at Smoking atrium on deck 5

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal

Any specific problems with this cabin? - For non-smokers the room smells like smoke as the smoking atrium is just one deck directly below the cabin. Balcony is unusable if your a non-smoker, especially when the ship is in port.  Also passengers sitting in the smoking atrium can see you if your standing in your stateroom just on the inside of the slider.

    Any other comments? -

  3. To be fair, bear3412 found the seller, I just happened to click on his link and see that they then had Dream ships available.

Credit should go to Bear for doing the search!

Glad you got one though and hope your wife loves the new addition!

Lily429 Enjoy your cruise. 3 more days to go. I appreciate the offer to pick up the Dream Ornament but thanks to Ex Techie they just found the Dream Ornament for me listed on Ebay. So enjoy your cruise and thank you.:)

  6.

Yes that's the exact one. I know that website, and I have been on their waiting list for more than a year. I believe they run about that price on board also.

If you have the chance to see one and pick it up at the gift shop, I would greatly appreciate it, but please do not go out of your way. :)

    Thank you

    Noel

  7. I have stayed at the Hyatt House prior to our cruise back in 2013. Hyatt hotels are always nice, plus you get a free breakfast. We are trying the Holiday Inn Express on 17th Street this time around. Ill let you know how the stay is.

Hyatt is a little further than Holiday Inn Express on 17th St. Both offer free shuttles from the airport but charge for shuttles to the port. Since Holiday Inn is closer shuttles are cheaper. We always take a taxisince you dont have to wait for other passengers.

  8. Hello fellow cruisers. I am in asking for a favor from anyone that is cruising on the Disney Dream sometime soon. We cruised the Dream in 2013 but we did not pick up the Dream Cruise Ship Ornament. Since then my wife started collecting the ship ornaments. I have tried the internet with no luck.

Please send me a PM if you are willing to help.

    Thank you

    Noel
