Marina’s general manager is Susanna Cahyadi.  She told me today that Marina will NOT get “The Bakery” (like Vista) during the May 2024 dry dock.

On Marina now.  Definitely LaReserve is being replaced by Aquamarine Kitchen.  Not sure if Bakery is being added…. Will ask and report back.

We sailed a total of 40 nights on Vista in 2023….3 cruises…..all different concierge cabins.  No noise issues at all.  All 3 cruises sailed “full”.

We sailed Vista November 2023 in an extended balcony concierge cabin….. so no loungers.   I used the 4 cushions (from the 2 veranda chairs) and made my own “lounger” on the veranda deck.  It was very comfy.

On Allura, the new Creperie will be located near Baristas on the port side (same location as library on Vista).  Allura’s library will be moved upstairs near Horizons.

Only loungers for PH extended balconies…… only 2 chairs & small table for lower categories.

The OP, TinaM67, has stated that she will be in an Accessible cabin.  The Accessible cabin bathrooms have NO storage…..no drawer under sink, no corner storage (upper cabinet & lower drawers).

The Concierge Accessible cabins……..No None Nada drawers/shelves in bathroom .   It is a completely different bathroom from standard concierge room.

Hubby and I spent November 2023 on Vista.   For 16 nights we were in 8116 (accessible cabin) and 12 nights in 8010 (extended balcony)…..so I can readily compare the storage differences.  Both are concierge.

8116……the square footage is the same as a PH.  There is LOTS of open space and it is very easy to move around cabin.  The closet is the same as 8010, but holds fewer hangers/clothes because the “pull down” rod mechanism uses a few inches of width on each side.  Hubby used all the desk drawers and the top closet shelf for his folded clothes.  I used the 2 shelves above the safe for my folded clothes.  The 8116 nightstands have 3 drawers but are much smaller ( perhaps 1/3 or more smaller) than the 8010 nightstands.  The drawers are so small that socks/ undies barely fit.  The 8116 bathroom has NO storage at all.  There is 1 small shelf (approximately 3” x 4”).  It is imperative that all of your toiletry bags have a hook for hanging from the many grab bars.  Because of all the open space, all of our shoes were stored in the room ( not in closet).  It took a few days to find a convenient place for everything.

8010….same square footage as usual concierge cabins.  Very tight between end of bed and wall.  Desk storage the same as 8116.  Nightstand storage is bigger than 8010.  Bathroom has LOTS of clothing and toiletry storage.

Bring as much hard liquor as you want.  We bring multiple bottles....both at embarkation and visiting ports.  Never an issue.  We have room service/room attendant/butler stock room with mixer(s) and sliced lemon/lime.

Many times I have embarked with spirits and purchased at ports.  No need to hide/conceal spirits from ship security.  Never an issue. 

Rent a car.  There are major car rental companies at the port in VancouverBC.

The on board fitness classes are totally dependent upon the specific trainer and his/ her certifications.  For example, Zumba will only be offered if the trainer is Zumba certified.  The certifications for the trainers vary greatly and there is no guarantee that Pilates or yoga will be available.

Classes are generally offered in the morning (7ish to 9ish) and late afternoon (5ish).

I assume that the trainer will not offer any of my preferred classes — if he/she does….bonus!

I download YouTube videos of my preferred classes and train in the aerobics room or a quiet outside deck.

I think the pizza looks PERFECT!!

Both Avis & Europcar have offices across the street from the port shuttle bus station.  GoogleMaps is a very good resource for this.

Our last O cruise was in April 2022 on Riviera.   DH and I had the Prestige Package .  We both ordered cocktails in all 4 specialty restaurants.   Typically order is a lemon drop and a double bourbon over ice.  No charge for us.

Starting in October 2022, we are very excited about Air Tahiti Nui offering Seattle to PPT.....twice a week.

Why take a cab to the mainland train station?  Why not start train transportation in Venice?  TIA!

Churchill is the best!  If I knew which O ship he was working, I’d book that ship…regardless of itinerary. 

What is the “new cocktail program”?  Will it only be available onboard Vista or is it for the fleet?

Rick Steve’s recommends Hotel Continental and Hotel Continental Palacete.  We have stayed at both and enjoyed both.

Do the small R ships have the morning fruit smoothies….. or does only Marina and Riviera offer these?
