MY wife and I are taking the Regal Princess Cruise throught the Baltics in May 2017. We are starting from Warnemunde, GE on 14 May. We will be arriving in Berlin at Schonefeld AP (SFX) on the 14th at 11:40 and need to be at the dock before 7 PM. What is the best mode of transportation from SFX to the dock?

Hello everyone,

We (my wife and I) are taking the taking the Regal Baltic Cruise out of Warnemunde starting on the 14th. Have a couple of questions:

1. Do you have a good travel insurance to recommend? Allianz (offered by the Co that arranged our ticket) seems a bit stiff for what they offer. Does anyone have a suggestions. How is "tripinsurance.com" advertised on Cruise Critic?

2. What is the best shore excursion for St Petersburg? Is the Viator tour any good? We had good luck with Viator on other cruises.

3. Since Warnemunde/Rostock is a bit out of the way, we are planning to fly into Berlin and take the bus to the dock and back. Does anyone know if the bus stops close to the ship?

4. If we disembark at 7 AM on the 25 of May what would be the earliest flight out of Berlin that we could catch considering the 2.5 hr ride back (either Schoneberg or Tegel)?

This is our first cruise on Princess. We have cruised on Carnival and HAL and had lots of fun. Looking for the same here and looking forward to meeting everyone. Anything on other shore excursions?

Now that we are going to Santorini and Mykonos instead of Istanbul, what is worth seeing on each island? Are there any good tours or can these be done on our own on foot from the ship.

We are coming back to Citiavecchia at 7:00 AM on 12 Oct 2016 and need a place to store excess luggage for 2 days (our flight leaves on 14 Oct in the morning). FCO advertises on their site a luggage storage in Terminal 3 for 6 Euro per day per piece. Has anyone had experience?

Do we need to make reservation?

We would need to pick up our luggage early in the morning for the flight (around 6 - 6:30 AM), are they open at that time.

We will be cruising on 30 Sep from Rome's Citavecchia cruise terminal. The night before we are staying at the Rome Marriott Park Hotel, 54 Via Colonnello Tommaso Masala near the airport. Any suggestions what is the best transport from the hotel (or possibly the airport itself) to the terminal. HAL offered a ride for $ 69 per person. Is there anything better out there? :confused:
