    I noticed this as well.

On some of the plans of the ship they are showing the lounge on deck 13 forward as a teen lounge on travel agents websites.

I wonder if they will use other lounges as kids entertainment areas when not in use as bars. They used to do this for 10-12 year olds on some ships.

Would make sense on immersive cruises

Not sure where you got the "adults only ship" information from but my understanding is the kids pool area at the back of the ship was converted into an adult only H2O zone with hot tubs. Most of the rest of the ship still allows kids.

They also removed the Guppies, Splash Academy and Teen club. They will be offering schedule family activities.

The Spirit schedules, I am convinced, are about to change and the ship will sail two cruiselegs Rome to Dubai; Dubai to Cape Town and then the 24 night cruise originally scheduled Cape Town to Singapore will return to the Med on a similar route to arrive in Athens for the Spring/Summer season!

We are booked on the Cape Town to Singapore leg, but a good number are scheduled to be on for 80 nights, i.e. the 3 sailings above and then Singapore to Tokyo which was to be the new home port for Spirit....so hugely sad for anyone scheduled to do all of that.

Much more on the other thread....Spirit Last Minute Changes....will be posted in the coming hours and days, I am certain.

If you go the NCL website Japan ports have been removed. I was about to book the Spirit for July and it has been removed.

  4. This is posted on the NCL website. Some countries are not letting Chinese passport holder to disembark. A recent cruise ship was denied by 3 countries to port, it is more than a NCL policy at this point. You might be able to do a claim through your travel insurance company for the flights.

    • Singapore and the Philippines are not currently allowing Chinese nationals to disembark at their ports. Guests with a Chinese passport who are traveling on voyages that disembark in one of these regions will not be allowed on board our ships. If additional port restrictions are put into place we may have to modify this policy as needed.
      • Guests who are denied boarding due to this will be issued a refund.

Hope this is the right place to post this! First time cruiser and I am trying to choose a cruise to the Western Caribbean. Right now, I am going between the Carnival Glory and Norwegian Epic. Going with spouse and 2 kids (twins, 10). Trying to find a good balance between things to do ON the boat (kids are water dogs and love being in a pool or water park) and things to do OFF the boat. Kids would like wildlife and beach activities, not so much into ruins and historical places. I am a foodie and food is important to me, but noone else in the family is - they would be happy eating pizza and spaghetti every day, so that is not as important!  Cost is, of course, a concern, but would be willing to pay more to make sure kids enjoy themselves and get a more relaxing trip! The Carnival cruise goes to Montego Bay, Grand Cayman (Georgetown), and Cozumel while the Norwegian goes to Roatan, Harvest Caye, Costa Maya, and Cozumel. Thanks for any help!!

The NCL itinerary is great, I prefer more ports than sea days. I have been on the Epic twice and the bathroom is an interesting situation but as long as everyone in the family knows that you will be fine. When deciding between 2 ships I always get my kids input. I show them the activities, pools and kids club the ship has to offer plus I also show them the ports and possible shore excursions we could take (that way no one complains or is shock). This works for my family and is just a thought. You mention cost,  just FYI if the price goes down before the final payment you can call for a price  adjustment if the pricing goes down after the final payment you can call for an upgrade or on board credit (OBC). Either way like someone mention you will be on vacation on a cruise so win win. Hope you guys have fun.
