  1. What turned me around was a few "key" reviews where people went through all of MSC Divina (Chubby and away blog/vlog).

For me they managed to take the focus from "omg I had such a horrible disembarkcation" to; things are not always amazing, but all over very good. Breaking it down and setting expectations for what is to come.

After reading/seeing their review I was okay booking with MSC. My wife as well is very much looking forward to MSC; just showed her the same review.

  2. If so, I would advise OP to re-check starting August 14th at 109 days out when deposits will be lost, all the way to after October 2nd at 60 days where payment will be due. I fully expect some cabins to become available again.

It's what I've landed on. Despite them telling me 2 weeks ago there was plenty free it became "fully booked" overnight at the same time as it was moved from venice to trieste.

Will check when deposits expire or cancellations come in

  3. I have been wanting to book with Seaside on the first trip from Venice to Miami.

But as I was about to book it was removed due to change in ports fron Venice to Trieste.

Now I see it has come back up again. But this time a December 6th departure from Barcelona.

Those who have booked; could you see what your itineraries now are?

Would prefer to have 21 days...

  4. I'm extremely dissapointed and very upset they claim terror as reason for cancellation.

The new ports added are some of the worst places to add on for me.

Was very much looking forward to Istanbul and now I can't even cancel on travel insurance since the official reason is terror threat.

Cowardly to wait this long to cancel and our first cruise experience is off to a very bad start.

  5. Complete BS.

Remove Istanbul and add in Rhodes, Iraklion and Mykonos. Two very popular places to visit for Norwegians.

We went on this cruise to get away from those places; instead now we are going to the most annoying cities.

I've been looking forward to going around in Istanbul (one of my favorite cities in the world) for weeks.

Now I am just extremely dissapointed and would not have chosen this HAL cruise if we knew of this in advanced.

Sadly; since they claim it is due to terror threat no insurance covers cancellation (and we would definetly cancel!).

  6. Also going to be on MS Eurodam sailing the 17th (first time cruise for both me and my wife).

Looking forward to the Redentore festival fireworks the 16th at night. More worried of not having a good place to view the fireworks than my worry about Istanbul ;)

Should be a lot emptier in Istanbul with all that has happened, and my philosophy (and experience the last few years) is you never know what could happen where so you might as well enjoy what you can when you can

Any tips from previous MS Eurodam cruisers?

We've been assigned VA4132. A bit concerned in regards to the view, but with gurantee rate I guess it's better to have balcony than to not have one...
