Could you tell me how to find private excursions? We are a family of 5 and are trying to skirt our way around some of the shore excursion prices and think we may want to do some things on our own.

Hello and thank you for your review of the cruise. My family and I are going on this cruise in July 2017. My 24-year-old daughter will be flying in a few days after us (we are going on the Denali portion but she is not). I arranged for her to stay at the Hilton Anchorage and am wondering how she will get to the train station. Was there a hotel shuttle to the train? How far is the station? Is there only one train per day? Thanks in advance.

Hello, My husband and I are treating our grown "kids" (3) to an Alaska Cruise in July 2017 aboard Celebrity Millie (southbound). We would like to do a 3-4 day pre-cruise land portion that starts in Anchorage and includes Talkeetna and Denali, ending in Seward. We are trying to decide if it would be better to just do the Celebrity CruiseTour or book separately through a private company for the land portion. Would a private company likely save time, money, or allow us to have more of a customized experience, or would it be too much hassle? Has anyone booked through a private company and been happy with the experience? Who did you use? Thanks for any insight.
