  1. I have been on a few and we have been very happy. They treat you very well anticipating you will repeat your spending. Special events, dinners, etc. I have never been pressured unless we showed an interest in a piece and talked to them about the piece. Its fun meeting some artists as well. I wouldn’t turn down a free trip. If you can’t afford to purchase don’t but enjoy your trip. One negative, don’t choose a cruise where they have chartered the whole boat. In 2021 we choose a river cruise on the American Queen and was so excited to finally go on a river cruise. The major problem was Park West had total control of the boat because it was chartered. Only half of a crew to serve everyone. The bars were seldom open, couldn’t get food when desired, no activities and crew was overworked. Big ships, kudos to Park West…We enjoy it very much.

  2. Thank you all for your response. It was a guaranteed suite and I got A S2 Sky Suite. They have several S1 Sky Suites open and would love to have the aft corner. Regardless, I am happy. I wonder if a move-up would be offered with a suite guarantee.

  3. I am traveling in August if it sails. I booked a guaranteed suite and I have already been assigned a Sky Suite and am very happy with the location. My question is: if any higher level suites are vacant before we sail is it possible that we will get moved to a better suite or will they keep us in the currently assigned? Definitely not complaining as I like our location. Thank you.

  4. I booked a guaranteed suite because with the military discount was so good. At this time the only Sky Suites left are Deck 12 under the buffet and Oceanview Bar. Has anyone experienced these cabins and are they doable or awful? Also, has anyone been to the Le Petit Chef? Is it worth it? I read that the food wasn’t the same quality as the other specialty restaurants and for $55pp I want the food to be very good as well. Thank you.

  5. Did you get the upgrade? Just curious as I am waiting for a room assignment now for a cruise leaving 1August.

Yes, I got it about two days ago. Unfortunately no upgrade, I got a fully obstructed cabin. I think that happened because there were many that were booked on the cruise on 15 August that were put on our cruise (because of a charter or something). Those people probably got the better cabins and rightfully so since they had to change their date of sailing

  6. You will most certainly want to reserve a car (no money down and keep watch for price drops)as soon as possible. We reserved one at Avis and also Enterprise, Downtown, very easy. We also took the free HAL shuttle, from the port, into town and walked a few blocks to get the car. We went all over the Seward Highway as far as Byron Glacier....loved the walk to see the glacier and we walked on it too. We also went on the ski lift for lunch at the top of Alyeska Lodge was so amazing in Girdwood!!! You can also go to Portage Glacier, Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center in Girdwood. We did all that and more with our time in Anchorage port in our rental car. Reserve it now! :D Have an amazing cruise!!

Thank you, I have reserved one. Appreciate the other information.

  7. We think it is a good idea. Lots of others will be booking. We booked in advance with Enterprise and took the HAL shuttle downtown then a short taxi ride to the agency (they would have picked us up but we didn't want to wait). They returned us to shuttle stop when we returned. Drove to Palmer and Wasilla. Not much to see except a huge Walmart in Wasila. Drove to Hatcher Pass for some beautiful scenery and also stopped at a few parks along the highway. A great tour of about 7 hours.

Still figuring out how to respond to individuals and finally figured it out. Thank you, I now have a car reserved.
