  1. So here is my experience so far with Royal Caribbean:

    1. They gave me an 3 options of times to have my wedding, when I picked 3-6 they told me then I won't get the photographer the entire 3 hours if I choose that option (they didnt tell me that until after I picked that time)

    2. They gave me 2 options of venues but then when I picked one I was told that venue wasn't approved by the ship (then why was it offered?)

    3. They told me I have the choice of 3 dinner menu options, but then I was told there are no tables to sit at to eat "dinner".

    4. Since they can't do sit down dinner in the same venue as the ceremony, I asked to book a private sit down dinner (restaurant buy-out) and they told me they can get 12 of us at 5:30, 12 of us at 6:00 and 12 of us at 6:30. So my guests who are spending a lot of money to come to my wedding cannot eat with me on my wedding night?!?!

Has anyone experienced this? Did it get better? I just want options to be given to me that I can actually choose. I want a photographer for the full time I am paying for it, and I want a sit down dinner in a private space with all my guests. Thats all I want, is this really that hard of a request? I don't care what the menu is, I dont care if its round tables or rectangle tables, I dont care the color of the flowers, I don't care about any of those details, etc. I just want the very basic wedding events.

Has anyone had success with Royal Caribbean? I could really use hearing some success stories of a wedding on the ship...

(off-ship wedding not an option for the cruise I want).

    Thanks guys!

  2. Thanks, the pics are beautiful!

I just have a few small things I am demanding... I just found out the dinner we pay $45/pp or $55/pp or $65/pp doesnt include a dinner table! I mean really? So now I'm forced to try to find a specialty dining option in addition to the 3 hour block so that we can sit and all have a nice meal together.

Did you guys get to sit down for dinner at your wedding? Also, I was told land wedding wasnt an option for Granduer of the Seas.

  3. Hey guys, I have two options for my wedding venue: Viking Crown Lounge and South Pacific Lounge. Both on Grandeur of the Seas. I really want the Viking Crown Lounge but I'm worried about the sun beaming in. I think we get married right in front of the window, does that mean guests cant see us (blinded by the sun) and the photographer gets all shadows?

Does anyone have any experience or suggestions on this?

  4. I understand the process but what I think I'm just looking for feedback like what questions did you ask first? Also did you sign before getting all your questions answered?

They want me to pay my deposit but cant guarantee i'll have the photographer the full 3 hours. And they want me to pick a venue without any pictures of the venues (the wedding planner told me to google it!)

Are these experiences everyone else has seen?

  5. Hey guys, so I am looking at a May 2017 wedding with RC on Grandeur of the Seas. Every call with them has been nothing but "I'll send you a brochure", I finally flipped out and asked if they want to proceed because I have the brochure and would like to move forward. So now I am working with a travel agent who will hopefully take care of all the communication problems we're having. I am meeting with her today and if all my questions can be answered then I am ready to sign any paperwork.

So, my questions are... what should I be asking? What should I be looking for? I've seen so many negative reviews on here, is it worth doing?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!
