We used Luggage Forward; luggageforward.com when we embarked out of Venice. I had read luggage, the bridges and even getting luggage in and out of water taxis could be an issue. When we embarked, our large suitcase was in our room.
It seemed a little expensive but it worked for us. We did not use it on our return to the states.

We were in a Neptune Suit. We were able to walk off and our bags were waiting for us in the terminal. 7:30 was the earliest we could leave and not carry our bags.

You FAX a copy of your proof of CCL stock to 206-281-0627. I had problems and never was successful. When I got on board, I took the proof to the front desk. They sent it to Seattle and I received my credit 2 days later while on board. This was in Sep. 2015.

We just left Barcelona on 9/13 on a 10:45 flight on a Sunday. No problems. We departed the ship at 7:30 and had a pre-arranged car waiting for us. The car service was about 35 Euro more than the taxi but worth if for the piece of mind.
If you are trying to get a VAT refund that line was about 30-40 minutes.
One thing we learned. If you have you bags checked the airline will not fly without you. We were an hour late departing as they had bags on board for a couple but the couple was stuck in Passport control. They either had to wait for the couple or unload the bags and remove theirs, this is post 9/11.
One other thing about Barcelona. They have a security check for certain passengers at the gate. My wife was called out, taken to a separate area and totally searched. She was then secured in a secure area and taken to the airplane separately. I had read about this on CC so we were not alarmed.

We had an aft wrap suite on the NA. We disembarked on 9/13. We felt almost nothing. Once in the Lido there may have been a little vibration but nothing to even consider a problem. I think this is becoming an Urban Myth about the NA.

We just stayed at the Londra Palace. Fabulous. Great staff. A bit of a splurge but Venice is a splurge. 3 minutes to St Mark's. Water taxi drops you 20 yards from the entrance and no bridges to cross. Londrapalace.com. Visit their web site and follow the link at the bottom to a live web cam on the hotel roof. It will get you in the mood for Venice.

Cruisett.com is another place but it does not include all of the cruise lines, but is pretty good.

We are cruising in Sept and departing from Venice. The schedule is for a 9:00 p.m. departure. When do we have to be on board? When will the safety drill take place? We have never had such a late departure before. Thanks.

US Airways; Airbus 330. Business Class. Is it best to sit Window/Center or both in center. DW is nervous flyer. Sorry to ask a repeat question.

Thank you for your input. As always it is greatly appreciated.

I should have added going will be Saturday and returning will be on a Sunday.

I am sorry but don't see any PHL info since 2013 and hopefully things have improved.
Looking to book Business/first class. How long in each direction will I need in PHL to not be in a panic? Customs, security etc.We are slow walkers. :) Thanks.

We have always chosen our cabin. Usually an SA near the Neptune Lounge. Now booked on the Nieuw Amsterdam Venice to Barcelona in an SB aft wrap next Sept. Hope it is as good as reported here.

It is almost next door to the Londra Palace and it's water taxi stop. There is one small bridg to cross. http://europeforvisitors.com/venice/ has wonderful info on the hotels and waking directions to every hotel. We are booked into the Londra Palace for next year. Bauer and Vivaldi were close second. Enjoy.

Sorry, just a little confused. I am booked in a Neptune suite on the New Amsterdam and when I go through the Indulgences list, I don't see the Suite Elite pkg. Also, if it is 2 bottles of liquor and 2 bottles of wine, why would the length of your cruise affect the price? Thanks.
Newbie here. Does anyone just walk around a port without doing a tour??
