    I was wondering 1) if anyone has experienced Cunard making mistakes when charging items to one’s credit card? And 2) how Cunard generally charges items to one’s card?

    I ask this because we were recently on a cruise with them. When we returned home we noticed that the entire amount of the final bill had been charged to the card (which is what we expected). In addition, however, they have also charged lots of other amounts too, some (not all) of which have been refunded. We can’t work out what on earth they are doing but it did prompt our credit card company to call us to ask what was going on. Has anyone else experienced this sort of problem? And in the event that the extra amounts are not refunded, is there a email address to contact them to sort out this problem? We don’t want to have to phone a premium rate number to sort out a problem that is not of our making. Many thanks.

  2. Thanks to the folk who commented on my previous post about the advantages (or not!) or buying a wine package in advance. I've decided I'm going to buy a package while on board and use my onboard credit (which I've already got) to pay for the package. That way, there's no worrying about exchange rates etc.

     

    Can anyone tell me how I go about purchasing the package onboard? Do I just speak to the waiter or do I have to go to the purser's office or somewhere else?

  3. Is there any advantage to buying a wine package in advance as opposed to buying it on board, assuming it is possible to buy one on board?!

     

    Also, does anyone know if Cunard lists the fare you've paid anywhere on your paper work or in the voyage personaliser? I'm pretty sure we paid the Cunard fare but cannot see it listed anywhere. Seems a bit silly not to list it as people will always be wondering if their shuttle fares are included, especially if they booked a long time in advance!

  4. I'm due to go on my second Cunard voyage soon. Last time I was in the Princess Grill. This time we will be Britannia, where I understand the dining arrangements are different. I've requested a table for two. If this isn't granted what is the likelihood of being able to change it? I really don't want to sit on a big table! We work hard and want some down time together. Also, do you sit at the same table for breakfast and dinner? I've trawled the forum but can't seem to find and answer and it is a very slow process too.

     

    The other question I have is re collecting your luggage in Rome before embarkation. I assume my luggage will appear in my cabin once I've checked it in? Presumably I don't have to collect it from the airport and carry it to the transfer bus?
